You don't have to be Rocky to look jacked to the masses. Jackman was still considered a buff dude back then. That's the point of that scene, and the below. He's supposed to look like a buff intimidating dude, and he did at the time. Expectations just weren't as crazy, which is why you're in disbelief now.

Yep... Exactly why the in-game WIP model looks like that. That jaw without makeup and unfinished lighting can actually look bad in-game. I hope the final version will resemble their concept art and not the voice actress.. We shall see.

Cant help but point out that Mystique is cannonically one of the most beautiful people on the planet, her being blue and lacking pupils/irises is what makes her weird to regular people.
They coulda got any super model for the face scan and it woulda worked.

It's Insomniac, they devolved so fast and went to the Nth degree with the DEI slop woke junk... It's almost like they were Sonys Guinea pigs, they gobbled up Insom then filled it with ESG and DEI for external funding to see if it paid off and it looks l ike it did.
