What is it about women that make them the worst drivers in the history of mankind? I always kid my gf about her driving ability, so now everytime we see someone driving poorly we check to see if it's a man/woman. No lie, 95% of the time it's a woman. Yes, this isn't a scientific evidence that women can't drive but lets be real, if my life was on the line, I'd take a male driver over a female driver every day of the week.

So... why is this the case?

i'm not sure what the bad women driver stereotype is supposed to be about. It is because they drive slow or something? You do realize that Women have a lower age requirement for car insurance dropping (21 for women, 25 for men) for a reason (i.e. they get into car accidents far less than men).

From my personal experience, women are either really good drivers or really bad. I have yet to find an inbetween. I used to be bad (I'm a man) but a wreck and two love taps later, I became a good driver.

I knew a girl who now is on her fourth car. Whats worse is that her dumbass dad keeps paying for near new cars so she can crash them a month or two later.

The bad women drivers I see are always messing with makeup, talking on the phone, or dealing with kids in the back seat.
They're distracted drivers, I think.

I dont think chics are bad drivers, some just dont make driving the priority. From my experience they try to talk on thier cell, put on makeup, fix their hair and fuck with the radio all while attempting to drive the car.

Guys...we just drive like assholes.

I think the main problem with driving is elderly people. Everyday i get stuck behind an old person who either drives to slow, switches lanes with no signal, or brakes to almost a halt when there is only need for a break tap. Old drivers piss me off.

This is true. As a man, I've been chased down by female drivers many a time :'(

I'd feel safer riding in a car with a woman than a man.

Men drive like their the best drivers in the world. At least once on my way to work, and my way home, some asshole is right on my tail. Hey buddy, you want to ride up my ass, at least buy me dinner first.

The trick at that point is to just slow down and let them break their hand on the steering wheel in a flurry of frustration.

I'd be all for legislation whereby everyone had to take a yearly written test (or road test when you're older) to obtain your license. There're just too many bad drivers out there.

It seems like here in Edmonton, every week there's a story about someone getting hit by a car crossing the street because ass-head isn't watching where he or she is going.

I'm no angel myself, and I'm sure there are a lot of things I do completely wrong when I'm driving.

My ex paid me the highest complement regarding driving ability. He was chosen when he was in the military to drive around generals and big higher ups and he said next to people who were trained in the military, I was the best driver he's ever seen.

Slightly more than 50% of the population in the US is female. Are you telling me that there is a shitload of women out there who don't bother to get a drivers license?

I've never had problems with female drivers. All of my near accident instances were with guy's driving aggresively. (Tailgating, lane switcher, speeders, etc...)
