Wonder Woman - First look

It's got a very nice style, actually looks like a WW1 epic, great costumes from what we've seen in set pics as well.
 
I was really impressed that we even got any footage at all considering they just started shooting. This is Guardians of the Galaxy level last minute shot compilation.

Colors def different from desaturated superhero colors we're used to, this is more like a European period drama.
 
The actresses is just a hard sell. She just looked silly during the Batman V Superman trailer and this doesn't help at all either.

Why couldn't Lucy Lawless just be 10 years younger!

Did either of those have someone who grew up in a completely different culture donning clothes they're unfamiliar with? Or are you just looking for something to nitpick about?

Anyway, I LOVE the costume and the look, but Gadot is a stick figure. I mean, those arms are probably smaller than my wrist and I'm not a big dude

I was one of the people voicing my scepticism about Gal Gadot on initial announcement, but I have zero doubts about her perfomance now. She just has such a natural charisma and weight to her delivery even in a talking head interview setting, that I didn't know because I just had vague memories of a dumb FF role to go by. I don't know if the movie will be good but it's not going to fail because of her.

Honestly this footage sold me on her more than her stuff on BvS. Her expressions and manerisms are on point, and that scream when throwing the kick was great.

Some people need to understand that's all acting as well. Acting just isn't spoken dialogue.
 
I got some serious Captain America: The First Avenger vibes from it. I'm hoping they also take advantage of the setting as much as they can, like Cap 1 did, or maybe do even better.

Clips look good. Not much in the way of acting for Gadot, but I'm not too worried. Not much in the way of fight choreography, but 0:53 looks cool. So did the slow-mo bits.

I buy Gal as Wonder Woman though and the costume is great. I'm just surprised at the approach they're taking with this film.
 
I bought the teaser tease. There's really not a lot to go off... but from the pieces I saw I really liked it.
 
This is the only DC project I'm looking forward to. Looks great and the film being a period piece just amps my excitement for it.
 
Not feeling Gadot at all, waaaay too scrawny to be playing WW. Looks especially outta place in BvS next to Batman and Superman's beefcake body.

She's slim but obviously quite fit

Also she was a fight-training instructor in the army.
 
Really hoping that these DC movies knock it out of the park when it comes to fight choreography.
Marvel films have servicible fight choreography at best and usually it's simply mediocre. Hope to see some bone crushing fights in these new DC movies.

Given your critique of Gal Gadot's appearance, I can get why you wouldn't understand that someone could find issue that one of the first shots that's been released is a moment of vanity.
