Picture this, after the opening credits roll. They do a fly over of Paradise Island, showing a peaceful all women society. Set to Destiny's Child "Independent Woman".

hell the finale battle between Wonder Woman and Ares could be set to Survivor. Beyounce could do the whole soundtack.

Frankly, that's probably the best idea anyone has had about this movie.

We agree on a lot of things you heathen
No we don't

Heh

Sadly, I can see that becoming real.

I Will Survive for a training montage. Think about it.

It would be lit as the kids say

They can drop "Formation" when Nubia shows up

i wanted Zimmer to give Wonder Woman a do-over or give her more motifs to work with before he left but too bad. hopefully that new composer does something good with her music.

because the music behind the new batman and superman is incredible and all we got for wonder woman is this cornball electric guitar theme. i kinda like it but its not as grand as the shit we're hearing for the Batgod and Superman.
it's an electric cello

get your facts straight disco

If Avengers 2.5 aka Civil War barely crawled above 1B with all that good will/hype/marketing/momentum, I'm starting to think 1B is rarely a lock. Even The Dark Knight barely climbed above it.

But a movie with Batman and Superman, not people who have been bred to be mainstays in American Culture since 2008, but characters who are so well known by people who have never even picked up a comic book did not make a Billion. The Secret Life of Pets and Jungle Book made more

They should just ignore BVS and Suicide Squad and pretend they never happened.

Do a Man of Steel 2 and The Batman set after Man of Steel.

I've been telling everyone, the way out of this mess is to make the current DCEU the equivalent to Earth-3. Have JL end with them going full Justice Lords and the sequel being them invading the idealized, MCU-esque take on the DCU we should have gotten from the start, with the heroes of that world winning and being the focus of all the movies from thereon.

99 problems as Chris Pine's theme?

Oh wow, 22 page thread on an unsubstantiated source that says a DC movie is disjointed and not as great as the trailers present it. C'mon, anyone could have made up this up based on the pre-existing DC history. I'd sooner believe Deadline, Variety, Gabriel Grey, or that Drew guy who said very specific details.

The hype for good DC movies is real, I'm wishing for the best with WW and JL. WW is not directed by Snyder, although JL is but Superman will be spared Snyder's wrath for the majority of the film. And Batman and WW were the highlights of BVS for most people & will be the main stars of JL.

Over $150m above a billion is not barely crawling...come on.

The Dark Knight I agree with, but that was 9 years ago. It is nowhere near the same feat to accomplish now.

Yeah it's hard to understate how huge TDK was. It felt more popular than any superhero movie that's come out recently. Getting over a billion was a hell of an accomplishment. Only three other movies had done it at the time. Now 27 have done it.

I think where I fail to grasp people is in how so many people here can't differentiate between the film they wanted to see and how much that could have made, and the film that was actually made. Because for a 'mess of a film' that got critically destroyed and laughed at online, 862 million isn't too bad a figure.

This whole thread is filled with you failing to grasp things.

Is it weird to say that crossing a billion seems like it can be done for any film with high praise and rewatchability at this point? Like if F&F, Transformers, and PotC can do it, it makes sense why a Zootopia can cross that Billion mark.

This thread is 8 pages longer than Obama pardoning Chelsea Manning and they were both put up yesterday afternoon.

Comic book movies are serious.
Isn't that to be expected though? What kind of discussion do you expect in the Chelsea Manning thread? Any sane person would applaud it and move on. We're just having fun in here.

But right now I inclined to believe it's a mess until i see it, every movie in DCU has been pure shit, so another one of Synder vision being shit isn't a real shocker...

While I enjoyed both BvS and Suicide Squad, won't lie that they do feel like whoever is doing the story doesn't understand how a story structure goes. As for he Wonder Woman movie, take the animated movie, make it live action scene for scene, done.

Snyder is still involved with WW as he wrote the story for it so sadly he has input in this year's DCEU movies.

Oh calm down. He wrote the story but he doesn't have screenplay credit which means anything can be rewritten. You should expect some involvement from the Snyders here because it's their production company that's handling the movie if I recall correctly. It's their money being put on the line.

I won't calm down until the movie comes out and if it turns out good!!!=p

I...uh...I would uhm actually watch this. Like I would watch the shit out of this.

"I got a muthaBox in my bag, swag..."

And now I can't get WW taking Bruce out for red lobster outta my head. This is potentially the best thing to come out of the DCCU yet...

As Sartre noted in his contemplation on Hell in No Exit, the true horror is other members.
I understand the sentiment, but it's horribly written. I mean, borderline forum post level.

Well, yeah. I personally think I stated a lot of the same objections in a better, more even-handed way.

If they do this then they fucked up extra hard. Yes the Trinity should be the one to finish off the big bad but the main stars should always be all 7 members of the league in a movie involving all of them coming together for the first time to defend the Earth.

The Avengers had Iron Man vs Captain America but other characters didn't suffer for their focus as new guy Black Panther got his end and the rest of the team did their parts.

Over the top focus on Bats and WW would just murder the JL narrative and make it more of a Trinity movie with some of their buddies dropping by to help.

I don't understand how anyone could consider Wonder Woman one of the highlights of BVS. She was barely in it and the few scenes she was in where she had to actually act made me deeply worried for the Wonder Woman movie.
