Not really. A tie still means england is pretty much guaranteed to go trough (Iran needs to loose to the US and Wales need to win with 3 goals for them to not to, probably an extremely risky bet)

England was pushing very hard at the very end, but it’s kinda like what the fuck were they doing the rest of the match other than getting fucked with turnovers in the midfield? They showed the ability to keep the US on their back heels, just showed it right at the end when it’s the most useless time.

US probably could have had the extra points if their offense didn’t slow down to a standstill in the second half and I’m kinda surprised at the lack and lateness of the substitutions. Their midfield turn-overs were devastating in the first half, and it was obvious pretty early in the other half that they weren’t getting that back, and the gas was running out for a lot of the players.
