Best part is that there's a DPS trinket that has the exact same graphic as one of his two AoEs. One of our DPS found that out the hard way. Luckily it is one of those trinkets that the graphic only shows for the person using it but still, please never re-use a harmful AoE graphic as a player graphic, gets too confusing fast.
At least Overwatch is on sale! (The $60 version that gives you nothing special, on sale for $5 less than base PC price lol)
I just keep getting more and more disappointed with Legion. Leveled my monk a few days ago and started research immediately. 3 days later, I'm at AK 1. This is so amazing, I have to literally wait weeks to get to normal AP level to be able to do anything normally. Fuck you Blizzard.
Just wait until 7.1.5 to level any new characters at this point, I think. Until you can buy up to AK15, it is just too disheartening to try to start now, they were WAY too conservative with AK catchup as it is now. I guess the argument was it is still faster than it was for characters levelling at expansion launch and it was fine for them, so it is fine for alts. But the problem is you aren't trying to slowly level your artifact on a new alt, you are trying to catch up to everyone else because when the world has 30 traits and you have 11, you are not going to be desired for much of anything.

I mean, yeah, this sucks, but at least 7.1.5 addresses this and lets you get up to AK level 15 right away just with a cost of 7500 resources.
Only things I can think of are a minor Displacer Beast nerf (40 sec CD instead of 30, 2 second duration instead of 4 on the sprint), Renewal buff to 1.5 min CD (but still never to be used). Maybe some PvP and legendary changes, but otherwise I think heal/tank druids have barely been touched.
Installing on SSD will get you the best speed.
I've played tons of FF14, I know what I'm talking about. I realize it has a lot of off gcd abilities, which actually feels terrible. You have periods where you need to spam a bunch of buttons, which is the primary reason controller players are at a huge disadvantage, and then the rest of the time you're waiting an hour to press a button (hyperbole).
The ground graphic thing...I can take it or leave it. Wildstar does it better, FF14 does it better than GW2, but ultimately it's very videogamey and extremely unimmersive. It's the kind of thing that HAS existed in wow with AVR, and it trivializes mechanics, it's not interesting and it takes you out of watching the game and into watching for circles and lines on the floor.
Half of raiding is already about watching for circles and lines on the floor. Might as well take out the guessing for actual borders out of it. They've done it before.

Oh so I wasnt crazy when I played FF14 in beta shortly before launch then? I could sware the GCDs felt longer but I never read into it, it just felt off. I didnt play much of it tho, I would deffinately buy it if it was like gw2 or eso (no sub)

Yeah, well, that is true. I had to do a new one. I basically just used the Order Hall set with the Headless Horseman helmet. That does look quite good, imo.

Although once BigWigs kicks in I lose all that screen real estate. I think WoW's in a weird spot where the Raid designers have always been in an arms race with the UI modders. For every complex encounter, the modders will create all sorts of trackers and indicators to simplify the raids, necessitating ever more busy encounters (lul Odyn and Helya). FFXIV encounters, though I was never really a hardcore raider when I played, all seemed to stay within the bounds of the default UI. It makes the fights less complex than I'd like but it also reduces the need for UI bloat.
Depends if you want immersion (fun) or cutting-edge performance.

Is 835 really a good enough ilvl to do the pickup raid? If I watch a video on the fights or read up on wowhead?

LFR? If you can get into LFR you're good enough to do it. It's designed to be facerolled.
Its still good to look up the mechanics in the journal as some can still wipe the raid (i.e. the runes on Odyn, if even one is still up he can still one-shot almost the entire raid).
But yeah its not too bad.

Bleh, got the BRF Mythic tier shoulders for warrior from a Blackhand token, but I still need the helm and matching boots for the set. Boots particularly, which sucks since there's only one model of them off Operator.
Also need the non-class restricted shoulders from Oregorger. Helm I'm not a particular fan of though, so if I don't get that soon I'm okay.

So I see WoW is on sale for $4.99 for Black Friday. Is this only for new accounts or can you apply the expansions you get in this bundle to an existing account?
Anyone with knowledge about Enhancement Shaman, can you point me to which talents are best to choose?
I feel like I'm kinda flailing about on my alt. Its been a long time since I played this spec (it was gathering dust until the pre-Legion event where I used the invasion to power level it) and it plays a bit differently now with maelstrom and whatnot.
I feel like I'm either starved for maelstrom or filled to the brim, too. So yeah, talents, general rotation, any tips would be welcome!

If you have an existing account that ever bought the base game, it already has all the content in the $5 base game (which is everything up to Legion). You just need to pay for a monthly sub to reactivate it.
Hailstorm over AS, unless you're only doing open world content but even then I like to stick with Hail just for rotation purposes
With the talent setup Anoregon provided (which is pretty much the only talent setup we have rn), you'll want to maintain your buffs (boulderfist/landslide, frostbrand, flametongue) and then prioritize stormstrike over anything else. Crash Lightning should be used for AoE as well as ST because of Crashing Storm and it has a chance to proc Stormbringer since its a main hand attack, so use that whenever Stormstrike is on cooldown. Other than that you can use Lava Lash when you're about to be capped on Maelstrom but both SS and CL are on CD and you can't do anything else.

Unrelated but I finally got around to getting some of the new glyphs for my alts. Blue Rising Sun Kick and red lightning makes me feel snazzy.
Just to clarify, Frostbrand is not in the rotation at all if you are taking the AS talent. That's the whole point of taking the talent, otherwise it's a waste. AS is good for blowing through easy content like world quests or your daily heroic, but Hailstorm becomes better when doing stuff that's actually relevant. It's also required if you have a particular Legendary. That said, some raiders do use AS and have recorded strong parses with it.

Some addons have "character profiles" and they might have been keyed to a specific character. Check the individual settings for those? You shouldn't have lost it all with a character transfer. Did the same happen to your alts?
I only transferred my main. It was very weird, I had elvui on when I don't use it. I use Vuhdo and it was configured as if I freshly installed it. I don't see my quests on the right. Auto loot was off also.
It's not a big deal but I know I put some minor settings I wanted and it's gonna annoy me later on when I can't figure out a problem.

Add-on profiles are configured by realm/server-character name. Just go into your add-on folder and change the server folder name to your new server
It saves your UI settings per character name and per server. So if you transfer a character to a different server it sees that as a different character regardless if the name is the same or not.
It should work to go in to your WoW folder, WTF > Account > AccountName > Server (the one you transferred from) then copy the folder with your character's name. Go back to the folder with the servers and paste the character folder in to your new server.

Yup, I had a full clear the first week before people knew how to spawn him and then did a Nightbane run before the reset that same week.

I got the wrists, but the wound is a little healed with the buff to the item / lava lash.
It worked very easily the first week, but since the change to how instance saves work in Kara we haven't been able to reset consistently. Tried a few times last week on our alt run, with Opera down and Curator up, we were never able to get the instance to reset at all. Even having an unsaved alt zone in to a fresh instance, then inviting the other members, it would put the 4 saved people in a separate zone from the unsaved alt. We cleared Curator and had a bit more success, we were able to get 4 people in the fresh alt instance, but we could never get the 5th in, they would zone in to their own instance at Curator. Obviously first thing we tried was zoning out and resetting all instances, did nothing.
So yea, people say it is possible to reset and try again, but for us at least it was very clunky and never worked correctly, so don't go in expecting to be able to try multiple times no problem, or I guess just don't be too bummed if it doesn't work for you like it didn't for us. Thankfully we haven't failed NB on mains yet since we first did it, want to at least get 5x mounts as quick as we can.
