Went to Shadowmoon Burial Grounds for the first time today, and that first boss wiped us two or three times (I was tank). Wasn't expecting complicated mechanics like that so soon. Loved that entire instance, though, both thematically and mechanically. Especially Ner'zhul's boss fight.

That was the dungeon I got for my first heroic. That 1st fight can be rough. A good wake up call for those expecting faceroll.

It's not a complicated match though. Don't stand in shit (purple daggers that fall from the sky) and kill the add. Then there's the lunar phase, which the dungeon journal tells you how to do (stand in the inner circle). If you're melee you don't even need to read it since you'll go there anyway to dps the boss.

Farming iron horde scraps sucks.

Do dungeons. You get them easily from heroics.

I have always wanted sword and board dps spec for my pally. I think it would be pretty awesome and unique to have all specs with 1h and shield. Had a blast during wotlk with prot pvp. I was unstoppable in battlegrounds.

I guess I have to try gladiator stance on my warrior. Now only if I had shield and 1h heirlooms :(

I just wish it would let us put 1h weapons on our backs. Looks so much better.

It's actually pretty good, you could say it was broken if you were salty.

I love all the confused people on wthe WoW Warrior forums that don't get that Glad is supposed to be a DPS spec. There seems to be some people struggling with digesting that with it being under Prot. lol

That was easily the best intro to an expansion blizzard has ever done. This is great, I'm enjoying this way more than i thought i would. Haven't had this much fun since wrath came out!

I haven't had too many people question it in game, they probably look at the dps meters. I've warmed up to the idea over time though, warriors are the masters of weapons and it makes sense they would be the first to utilize sword/shield for dps.

I'm starting to actually like arm's playstyle, though it's too aoe and sub 20% focused. Feel like they should replace whirlwind with slam (as the talent functions) and tweak the damage from there. Having your rage dump be aoe seems like a terrible balance decision. Some of those tweaks they did for 90 feel inappropriate now. Hopefully blizzard does some tuning a few weeks after highmaul is released.

Hated it while leveling but it's alright in dungeons. Having bursty as fuck aoe is always fun, even if no one cares about trash.

I would hope it happens before Highmaul rather than during/after. For all the good things about WoD the balance is pretty wonky in lots of ways that are seemingly obvious.

so I see all these items for "put 5 furs into it and raise your leathworking" which is cool to raise my shaman's 400 skill LW up

but how the hell do I do it with enchanting? I've only got 100 on my priest so I cant disenchant shit

yoshichan does afaik, may wanna send him a pm in case he's asleep seeing as it's the middle of the night in most of europe right now.

Okay thanks looked into it, Would have been cheaper for me to buy US but then i found out you need the game up till MoP, so i would have to buy those games. While if i play on EU servers i would only have to buy Dreanor, seeing as Blizzard was kind enough to gift me the game up till MoP expansion.

MoP is included in the base game now.

MoP is included with the basic game, which you can regularly get for $5-10 dollars if you look around online.

I fucking hated MoP, so if I were to skip it through instant 90 (yeah, the thought is sending shivers down my spine), would there be anything that I had to know? Some tidbit of infirmation, some content I should absolutely not pass on?

Since all of the setup stuff to WoD takes place on Timeless Isle and Seige of Orgrimmar, both of which you'd be unlikely to do even if you leveled to 90 naturally at this point, not really. Most of MoP is inclusive to itself, just like every expansion before it.

Naw you should be fine. And don't feel bad about the lvl boost. After a decade of playing, I boosted my warrior. Lvling from zero to 100 doesn't interest me. lol

I seriously wish they'd fix the bug where I have to queue for dungeons outside of Darkspear or it tells me I don't meet the requirements.

Yeah I'm running with in heroic dungeons now instead of glad. Glad may come out ahead in single target fights that run awhile, but arms so much better at clearing out big pulls and is about even in fights that last less than a minute. Plus love seeing those execute crits with luck of the draw, think the highest I've seen was 147k.

Yeah if they have the data they need from WoD beta from raid testing then they should go on it.

That was close. About 5 minutes after I finished MC and got my mount, my internet went down for a couple of hours.

I want to get back into this, but I only have a 1.6 Ghz Intel Core Duo processor, and when I download the game client it says that that isn't good enough. Can I still run the game with everything on low? My computer worked fine a year or so ago...

So, is it basically pointless to have gathering professions with garrisons now? (I have 1k of each ore, and can barely use any of it a day) Also I get more herbs on my main now than I do on my herbalist...

Sort of, but not really. You definitely are able to get more resources from them and if you are actively producing things to sell you will make more money since you won't need to rely on ah or garrisons for the mats.

It might chug a bit. Just get the trial up to lvl 20 and see what happens.

Does it even let you boot the game?

I boosted a Warlock to 90 and have been playing that...actually doing instances on this 90-100 unlike my DK. Very unimpressed with them so far. Auchindoun is decent, I guess, but the first two...bleh.

Yeah, but it gives me the warning pop up. I'll try and get a trial for a character up to 20

Ok, nevermind. It won't let me start the game. Guess I'll have to hold off on restarting WoW until I get a new computer.

It's great that there are some choices to make in the expansion, yet I hate deciding between what to pick, like which medium building to build in my garrison (I made a barn and then I hated myself for it) or which follower to pick between a choice of 3 or which garrison to build in another zone.

I made it to 94 and did a couple of dungeon runs. Normal dungeons seemed pretty easy but I liked that. Since I play healer usually, the slower paced healing felt better.

So you're telling me it may be beneficial to wait till 60 to boost so I get the crafting boosts?

Yes it's beneficial to wait till level 60. You're going to be sane by the time you max your professions from 600 rather than 1. Trust me, I boosted my Hunter without reaching level 60, and I hate myself for it.

That gets you the nice gear the chart is referring to?

Also note that I probably should go to 60 "naturally" since I'm new to WoW.

The chart is referring to a few things. What you want to do is get in to groups that raid to get the better gear if you want to stick to the end game without too many problems, and experience everything. Absolutely nothing wrong with the crafting gear though, since it's not too bad. If you want a challenge though you're going to want to go for heroic and mythic raiding, which is really tough, but satisfying to pull off.
