Worst covers ever are by that Wing chick... the one from New Zealand or whatever.

:lol :lol :lol

OH boy I remember someone on the old forums pointing me to the WingTunes Website. Absolutely fucking HILARIOUS. Soooooooo bad. You can't download the samples without signing up now though :(

The funniest songs I remember were:

Dream Lover
Hero (both by Mariah Carey)

Santa is coming to town
Joy to the world
Jingle Bells

Simply the worst covers I have ever heard that has had any sort of commercial success outside of William Hung (who sounds like he's in agony in certain songs).

Korn's cover of One by Metallica.

I wanted to puke when I heard that one.

Every song by Korn is terrible. Their new cover of Cameo's word up is a turd sandwich. I have only heard two good covers of word up and they are from Shawn Lane and Mr. Belividere and the Solid Gold Dancers, and both were done in Memphis.

Not to mention she changed the line "I hope I die before I get old." Even though Townsend has specifically mentioned he wish he'd never written that line, it changes the tone of the song.

Indeed. I wouldn't think anyone who has ever said that meant it. I always took it as a way of simply saying one would rather be dead than turn into the corrupted elders who smite their rocking and a rolling.

I like A Perfect Circle as much as the next guy, but their cover of Imagine blows like a bad hooker. I can't stand it...it's not like Faith that Limp did, but still dislike it as much.

I have to throw my hat in for A Perfect Circle's cover of Imagine. When I first heard it I was absolutely disgusted. Irregardless if I had heard the song Imagine before that. The actual song was just terrible and the fact that it was supposed to be some sort of interpretation of John Lennon's Imagine just took it to an all new level of suckdom. I swear some of your picks on here I think are pretty ridiculous. There is a difference between a song just not being as good or being a complete rehash cash in, and a song taking the original and destroying whatever good it had and shitting out lyrics that seem remotely similar. There are probably worse covers than Imagine, but I just haven't heard those yet.

While APC seems to be the hot topic, I'd like to mention that their cover of "The Nurse Who Loved Me" isn't bad, but it doesn't hold a candle to the Failure original. This isn't really a knock on APC, but more of a statement of how much Failure rocked. I wish they were still around. :(
