Yeah, there's a lot of stock out there that makes me wonder who buys it, it's so bad. But this thread was inspired by my work today, as while I was looking for visual reference for child iconography, Google Images offered me this:

The icon creators are apparently Russian, so I can assume good faith that they didn't mean it intentionally (there's mono and other colored versions.) But yeah, it stopped me for a bit.

I use a lot of stock photography for my job. Whenever I need a photo of, say, a business person, the guys are all always nicely dressed while half the women look like they're wearing "naughty" Halloween costumes. Sometimes they're in bikinis for no reason.

Yeah... searching istockphoto for "schoolgirl" when I was looking for a silhouette to do an infographic was certainly eye-opening. Had to go halfway down the page to find someone who didn't look like a stripper.
