Would you voluntarily get a neural implant?

Are there souls games though?
Also how does the neural porn landscape look like ?

Probably not, no. Wouldn't trust any big company or government with it

I've played Deus Ex: Human Revolution. I know how this one ends.

I might still do it if you can hack it to disable the communications module and thus keep it permanently offline while still giving me superpowers.

Sure, - You only live once, and that life should allow me to control things with my thoughts !

Wonder when they will release the ocular implant so you can run a computer screen in your field of vision 24/7 =D

You think Phones are addicted, just wait until a full monitor is hardwired into your head !

If it was a good product that was safe, yes I would.

Non augmented humans will be inferior, if such a product is available.

I don't think so, but I'm sure the elites will find some way to get me to accept it like these vax and masks.
I am not even into AR or VR, and neural implants feel even more intrusive of my freedomz. If I am in my death bed and they offer them as the final solution to extend my life, I will probably choose it, but otherwise, most likely nah... until the next psyop. :)

I think it would be awesome to be able to plug myself in and learn things I want to learn in a matter of seconds, but, if the price to pay is giving away my privacy, 'how to make a Hugh Jackman dildo that's life like' can wait.

I always wanted to see a Genesis of the Borg story in Star Trek. This is how I imagine they start. Recreational tech.

I would love to play the guitar or piano but i don't want to spend years learning and practicing. So yes.

I imagine these things would cost a fortune though but still. Also, how many of these our brain could handle? A lifetime is just enough to learn a handfull of skills but what would happen to the brain if you stuff it with so many a person would need centuries to learn? Is there even a "storage cap"?

We can't be 100% sure, but a study in 2010 gave a figure of 2.5 petrabytes for the human brain.
