Wrestling is hard

My friends and I are all into UFC, so we decide to wrestling. You win by either submission, making the person tap out, or your opponent is too tired to fight.

I did real good in my first match. Easy rear naked choke. But the second time I had to fight, boy, I was tired. We were both trying to take each other to the ground and I was out of breath. Gassed out is a good word. Couldn't do shit, and when my friend body slam me somehow on the ground, it was all over. It is like I had no fuel, no energy to do a damn thing. And it ended with him getting me in a rear naked choke. :(

I have respect now for ground wrestling in MMA because it is not as easy as you think. When you see two guys rolling around on the ground, they are trying their damn best to get into a good position. Or when you see a guy laying on top of his opponent, he is tired and trying to regain his breath.

In real men's backyard submission rasslin, you wait until your opponent is limp before letting him out of the RNC...

Actually I don't see that too often, but I'll take your word on it.
Well not lay on them forever but just like for a few seconds. Like when boxers hug to regain their breath.

Fun sterotypical typo.

Respect should go to them all as theur work is so hard, from WWE to UFC and TNA to MMA they all put alot of work in every day so they can entertain us.

It's easier when you're in shape and know what you're doing ;)

After nearly 2 years of BJJ, I can basically toy with anyone who hasn't legitimately trained in grappling. :)

Heh... we going to do Muay Thai and BJJ or Wrestling this summer. And Boogie, sign up for The Ultimate Fighter season 2 and if you get in represent GAF!

I might be a bit too outclassed for that :)

Besides, I'm naturally just under 170lbs, so I'd be a little undersized against the welterweights. It'd be like Kenny Florian vs. Diego Sanchez, and we know how well that turned out, eh? ;)

Oh, and good to see that it's helped you to gain more appreciation for the ground fighting aspect of MMA. It's definitely easier to appreciate when you put yourself in such situations and try to understand the ground game better.
