Who needs the intelligence community when you have Assange and Wikileaks?

Trump's got us covered.

And even if he doesn't we won't have to suffer the burden of knowing about it until its far too late.

JFK, Ford, Carter, and GWB administrations all tried to restaff and revamp the intelligence agencies to little avail. Bureaucracies are very resistant to change, much more than Trump anticipates.

The last thing a man with a checkered financial past and dodgy political friends should be doing in incurring the wrath of the CIA. Also I'd be surprised if the senate lets such a thing pass.

I think people will be holding him to a higher standard than that (shockingly) so I doubt he can just duck and weave by blaming them and be done with it.

People are going to want explanations if something catastrophic happens and I doubt they'll get one - just deflection and projection. I think people are in for a rude awakening about how bad this guy actually is, and that'll be when he shows his true colours.

Why? The Trump Cult doesn't believe anything that they say anymore anyway, and that's reinforced by the Republican party. The only people that we listen to now are Trump himself and Trump endorsed news sources. Literally everyone else is a hyper partisan hack and is lying to you.

I think he'll get away with this, and I don't think he'll suffer for it at all.

Even for a 9/11 level event? People have been letting him slide on a lot, but I think if it came to something that huge he'd not be able to slime his way out of it.

I don't recall Democrats ever loving Putin. Not taking him as seriously as he needed to be taken, sure. But beyond fringe anti-imperialists, Democrats never loved him as much as Republicans do now.
