After trying out on of Nokia's windows phones I like it...but it's not perfect (maybe it's verizons network that isn't perfect).

Ah this Motorola phone will be priced out of my reach anyways.

we all knew her
Great battery and camera and a screen larger than the size that has been rumored (4.3") and I'll probably buy this phone, assuming it comes to Verizon.

Motorola smartphones are uncanny in that they find innovative ways to malfunction. It'll be difficult for me to justify buying anymore of their devices until they demonstrate this is no longer the case, GOOG support or not.

ummm...it looks ugly.

I think at this stage, only Apple and Sony know how to design a desirable phone.

What happened to the old days of motorola RAZR V3!

I posted this in the android thread also.

In more news in one of the most leaked phone in the past year.

Rogers Moto X promotion video shows demonstrations of its features

Gives a brief run down of some of the features of the Moto X phone targetted for Rogers customers (exclusive in seems in Canada).

So the big thing is Siri but you don't press a button? Better but that seems like a software thing, not a hardware one. Curious about what it does to the battery for all the passive sensing.

Exclusive to Rogers means I can already tell it's a shit phone :p

Joking aside, did they just confirm it won't have an LED light? It looks ugly on the sides too, and that "ROGERS" in the notification area, ughh. I'm not terribly excited for this phone. I hope there's still a real "Nexus 5" produced by HTC or Sony.

It's not perfect, but it sure as hell shits over a majority of pre-installed skins.

Not really.

Almost everything that a stock JB can be done on other rom.

And if you know how to root and install custom roms or read xda forums, you can easily enjoy best of both worlds or won't care on stock android anymore (like me)

Lots of rumors here:
http://www.knowyourmobile.com/motorola/motorola-x/19975/moto-x-specs-price-and-release-date-rumours

Dual core S4 Pro 1.7GHz.
2GB of RAM
720p display
4G LTE MIMO dual antenna
4,000mAh battery

Open Mic - an always-on mic for voice commands ala Google Glass;
Active Updates - part of the screen auto wakes up to show notifications and the clock in standby;
Camera is launched by twisting your wrist twice;
No on-screen shutter key, you just touch anywhere on the viewfinder and the camera takes a picture
Holding your finger for longer on the screen makes the camera quickly take several snaps in succession
The Moto X will launch to market (in Canada at least) as early as this August in both black and white.

Motorola also succeeded in minimizing the amount of software and apps that wireless carriers will preinstall on the Moto X, these people said. Such software, also called "bloatware," has long drawn the ire of wireless customers.

Of course bloatware also includes software and apps that hardware manufacturers preinstall on phones. Hopefully Motorola succeeded in minimizing the amount of bloatware installed by Motorola on this phone, and keeps it stock Android.

"4,000mAh battery" Amazing, the most important part of the specs list.

Larger batter than my Windows 8 Acer tablet lool.

Is it even possible to tell the difference between a 1080p screen and 720p screen at these sizes. That is what I hear all the bitching about but its still over 300 ppi. Im still using the Photon and that is 275 ppi and I havent noticed any issues with the screen quality.

As long as I get signal strength and battery life with stock droid seems like the rest of the market is just screen size peen comparison

Google scared of Samsung?

In part because Samsung could pull an Amazon and use its own app store, depriving Google of the income stream. They are already starting to consolidate their media offerings into streamlined apps that compete with the Play Store as far as movies, music and books. Apps are the last thing left that Samsung is not selling direclty.

4000mAh battery? Phone of the forever

Now we're talking. If they can't make battery technology better in terms of lasting longer, at least cram as much juice as you can in smaller and smaller form factors. A slim phone with 4000mAh? I'll take it, hopefully in a few years the same size battery can hold 20,000mAh.

How would you know unless you actually bought future devices?

They already have a Samsung app store, my wife's Galaxy S3 has it.
