I seriously can't believe some of you -still- think Bryan will be in the WM main event. Hilarious really.

He'll face Triple H at WM and lose clean.

I actually thought Cole was pretty good on commentary tonight.

I think this is the first time I ever thought that. He channeled a little JR at the end there

Surely no one thought Bryan was going to win, come on now.

RR disappointment was justified but this was seen coming a mile away

Yup. This was the easiest match to book. Randy needed to retain at this point. Switching him out for Bryan would have been going in the opposite direction too quickly.

If they do Kane/Bryan on Raw between now an WM for Bryan to be in the title match this would make sense. If its actually Kane/Bryan at WM, fuckthiscompany.gif.

orton right now

I don't even know what he's doing in this gif but I like it

One of the better chamber matches I can recall in recent years. Christian and Cesaro really looked good in there, Orton's mannerisms were top notch all match long.

Not even disappointed by the ending, as I said before the PPV I've been under the impression that WWE have no plans to change their WM plans because it's WWE so Orton winning was inevitable in my mind even If I don't really like it, I was just here for the ride and it was fun.
Now to look forward to the WM crowd dumping on the Orton/Batista showdown.

I really hope Bryan ends up being involved in the main event at mania, just imagine Bryan winning the title in front of that crowd.

It would be the moment to end all moments.

If it does end up being Boreton vs Bootisfa the crowd shitting on it should be quite good as well.

The difference here and the Rumble, is they utilized the disappointment of the masses as a work, by making people sad that Bryan didn't win intentional instead of a dumb oversight like at the Rumble.

That said, there better be an actual payoff planned for this, this time.

Knew Bryan was going to lose but that kick out...It's the hope I can't stand.

Starting to believe Bray might, might, just go over Cena at Mania. Cena & Cena Mk 2 both getting pinned by his finisher in one night.

Were people expecting Bryan to win? I'm a fan of his but I knew the outcome that was coming.

I'm legit shook by the surprise in this thread. Though I will say they won't be getting network money from me unless there is some resolution to Bryan's story on raw.

Overall it turned out to be a great PPV, even if it came with a bunch of obvious outcomes. Let's hope shit really gets turned up tomorrow night. They have good momentum coming off of tonight.

Tomorrow it turns into a triple threat match, just watch.

My guess is he will need to beat someone to get in (maybe Kane in a real match?). If I can get fantasy book-y for a minute, THE greatest angle would make Bryan face HHH on Raw for a shot at the title at Mania. And have that match in Chicago. And someone gets involved. And you can guess the rest.

Not that HHH would fight on Raw, and not that
Punk
is probably coming back any time soon. But I'm telling you, it would be awesome.

WWE will keep dangling Bryan forever as long as they keep getting such a reaction. The purpose of a art is to emit emotion. There is no doubt WWE is doing a great job at that. Bryan will win when his heat starts to die down. As for the WM main event. That is God awful WWE has to do something Dave is no Rock.

I agree. We're actually closer to 5% of the audience. I'm not whining. I'm trying to explain how things actually work, not how you're booking things in TNM, TEW, or WWE '14.
Well, aren't we fortunate to have you around to enlighten us to how things work.
Dude, I KNOW how things work. It's why I don't watch this product any more.
Anyone else that feels the same way should follow my lead and not watch it as well.
Except the reason they don't is because WWE fans are masochists who love to have their hopes & dreams crushed repeatedly while they pay Vince to do it.

That's... a really good idea. The Raw match is the least likely part, however.

They were awful and uninteresting to you. The average wrestling fan ate them up. If you want wrestling aimed at you, watch ROH or NJPW.

I hate ROH and really only like a few people in NJPW. Both Rock/Cena matches were garbage by any standard. Rock was blown up and injured himself in both and Cena isn't the kind of guy to carry a match on his own. The lack of reaction during both matches shows that the paying crowds didn't care for them either.

You don't put the belt on a guy as his heat starts dying down. You put it on the guy as his pops are gaining ground or at the peak.

If you're not watching the product, then I actually have more respect for you than the rest of the whiners who complain about the product, but are going to be buying the network tomorrow morning. Even though, kind of weird you're spending your Sunday night complaining about the writing of something you're not watching anymore. I'm not about to go into a How I Met Your Mother or Dexter thread and complain how they've ruined a show I'm not watching anymore.

after showing those crowd shots it seems WWE is turning people's disappointment in the product into a storyline. Now I'm starting to believe Daniel Bryan will be main eventing Wrestlemania.

LOL. That finish was made to garner heat for HHH when it will eventually be known that he tried to keep Bryan from winning. It's so obvious it's HHH vs Bryan at WM.

I really hope they close WM with Batista and Orton. It will be glorious

Most of us saw that disappointment at RR coming a mile away as well.
I will check out that Shield vs. Wyatts match from tonight. Glad to hear it delivered on the hype. Shame it's a one-off.

Rock/Cena I wasn't that good at all, but Rock/Cena II was a perfectly respectable match. There were plenty of reaction during both matches, but it was an open air stadium and a mixed crowd, so it was a little less obvious.

Regardless, if the paying crowd didn't want to see Rock/Cena, maybe they shouldn't have bought tickets or left during the advertised main event. There's a reason why Rock/Cena got over a million buys each. Because the casual fan wanted to see that match and likely actually really liked it (see the Slammy results this year).

I wouldn't doubt that they're waiting until tomorrow to add Bryan to the WM main event just to get people hyped and subscribe to the network.

Get people to subscribe while they're still nice and hyped.

Lol, why are you guys surprised? It's WWE. They continually shit on you and you keep coming back for more. The reaction in this thread is the same damn reaction after every WWE ppv. Now you guys are going to drop $60 on the network tomorrow and support their decision making skills.

When does X-pac win the IC title so he can defend that at WMXXX?

Speaking of which, who is going over the NAO at WM? I assumed it would be the Usos thinking there would be some shenanigans tonight, but it was a clean win. So, um, the Rhodes Brothers? Highly unlikely they break up at this point at Mania, anyway. Maybe they win the titles back and try and build something where they fight at Summerslam.

I know they tuned in to those matches because they're big names, but how do you know the average fan was satisfied with the matches?

Well, Rock/Cena did win MOTY at the Slammy Awards this year. And according to Meltzer et al, those awards aren't worked. So, there ya' go. I think people highly overrate how "good" a match has to be, for the average fan to like it. The average fan watched Hogan formula matches for a decade before burning out on it.

It would be interesting to dig up the WrestleMania thread where Sheamus beat Daniel Bryan in 10 seconds and see how many of the people who bitched about that are still bitching about Daniel Bryan losing today.
