WWE is in the midst of one of the most eventful weeks in years – and the company’s existing storyline plans through WrestleMania could be scrapped entirely by Friday night.

WWE has called for all-day creative meetings on Thursday and Friday, according to a report by Wade Keller of PWTorch.com. A source says that “nothing is sacred” in terms of long-standing booking plans plans and “everything will be reevaluated.”

The roller coaster ride began on Sunday night when it became apparent to fans that Daniel Bryan would not be part of the Royal Rumble match. The strong negativereaction to Batista winning the Rumble, Daniel Bryan’s continuing popularity growth and the shocking departure of CM Punk from the company are all being cited as reasons for the shakeup.

We’ll have more details on this story later in the week, but it appears that things are going to get even more interesting by the time the week is over.

Knowing WWE this will become bury gear solid: bryvengence. It's the only way we can thank fans for liking people we don't want them to like.

What are you talking about? people is super excited for the greatest match of all time in Wrestlemania, Batista Vs Orton.
Not really

Its WWE. Their solution will be to call up some other part-timers to fill out the roster.

Remember when WCW "shut down" for a few weeks and did recaps on Nitro when they hired Russo and hit the "reset" button?

This reminds me a lot of that. Company has zero idea how to properly build talent anymore.

I like CM Punk's idea of having a fully fledged, year long storyline. The main reason I stopped watching WWE was because they don't know what direction they want to go in or are going in.

Theyve lost the people who knew how to do storylines from top to bottom on the card.

I hope this means they start pushing people who deserve it. BOrton had the belt for way too long. Give it back to Cena. He's worked so hard for another shot at the belt.

I've heard stories in the past about how they didn't plan ahead, but you imagine they would have fixed that.

It really seems silly not to have a plan a year in advance, especially when the storylines aren't anything noteworthy. Have a plan, a backup, and a backup for that plan.

A wrestler playing a prominent role in a summer movie returned to the WWE and won a match? I'm completely shocked that anyone would be shocked by this.

Hope they come up with a way to make Wrestlemania not suck.

Wrestlemania X had Bret/Owen and Razor/Shawn
Wrestlemania XX had Christian/Jericho, Angle/Guerrero, HHH/HBK/Benoit, Rock and Sock vs Evolution, and return of the dead man Undertaker character.
What does this one have? Orton vs Batista - a match between two people that no one cares about.

What happened to Shane? Havent seen him on the show for donkey's.

He decided to venture in the MMA business. Something that he wanted Vince to do in the 90s before it really got big. If Vince had listened to Shane, he would be worth at least 3 times more than he is right now.

It's quite sad to see Vince passin the torch to HHH instead of Shane, at least he had a much better vision of the future like the impact of the MMA.

I don't know for sure but I always thought Vince was going to pass the torch to Stephanie McMahon and not Shane. Isn't Shane off somewhere running a business in China?

Which is why all along I've been fighting for Bryan Vs. Punk for the title in an Ironman match. Hell, actually this would've been better for the unified title in my opinion. You're celebrating your 30th anniversary with the new generation of "wrestlers". You're going back to your original roots.

I am watching WWE very sporadically, usually only biggest PPVs and sometimes when their storylines become non-WWE [CM Punk, Bryan] or when some big legend comes buy to take paychek for few appearances.

Punk was awesome in his 2011 MOTB buildup, and after watching this latest RR I was really dissapointed with what I saw. Bryan was suuuuuuper red hot but marginalized, and Punk was placed nowhere.

Hopefully WWE will get their head out of their ass. Cena needs to go fuck away, or become heel. Nobody cares about Orton, Batista and even Lesnar.

Stephanie was going to be in charge of creative while Shane would deal with finances. Vince always favoured Stephanie over Shane and Linda always favoured Shane over Stephanie.

So Shane either bailed out on the entire idea of handling anything within the WWE or Vince, being the asshole that he is, decided to neglect Shane altogether. Hmm.

What long standing booking plans? lol

Cena vs Orton Duhhhhhh

This is crazy talk. Lesnar is fucking amazing. Dude can wrestle with anybody, can sell better than anybody, hes honestly the best guy the WWE has right now.

The way they've been wasting him is the biggest travesty of all. Just put him in a match at WM with Daniel Bryan.

the funny thing is I know you're joking but this will probably somehow end in more Cena and Orton at the top.

Nooo, Shane wanted to do things on his own. His plan was to show his dad that he could venture off and be successful without him; in fact that was Vince's vision to have him stay with the company forever. Shane isn't a just settle person like Stephanie is.

Yes, he is good, but as you say, they are using him badly. I would have no problem with that kind of match.

Makes more sense and I'm glad he's successful with what he's doing now.

Exactly. Lesner wins title at Royal Rumble instead of Cena-Orton #8062, Bryan wins Royal Rumble. Bryan becomes the first person to take the Monster heel Lesner out*

That would have been perfect.

*unfortunately, we have to pretend those first 3 matches where HHH and Cena stupidly beat him.

They should just run old Rick Rude matches for a year.
I have no problem with this at all :D

Brock is actually interesting. I just hate the way they've been handling him. Brock should've never lost to Cena, Brock should've never lost to Hunter at WM 29 either. That's one of the reasons The Rock said "fuck it" is because WWE didn't have any idea of what they were doing. The plan was The Rock Vs. Brock this year at Mania but how do you have both he and The Rock lose on the grandest stage of them all? Rock had no problem with dropping the title to Cena but he had a problem with Brock losing because all the credibility is out the window.

On paper, it makes this next's week Raw sound really exciting.

I know they typically have creative meetings and the likes, but I think these long-form ones should become quarterly.

Evaluate where they and talent are, and perhaps look into the strength of their stories, what they want to continue/drop and book towards a big PPV.
