Thanks for the heads up! I don't watch wrestling anymore but I've been wanting to go back and check out some of the old stuff from my childhood so this works.

Doing the same. Awesome to see everything that's available until the Attitude era, which is when I stopped watching around 2002.

All of the PPVs are though, and a LOT of folks want those Attitude Era shows added. They were from the biggest era in wrestling, and I really want Nitros up there since they're such a big deal historically.

Network is amazing. I keep it on in the background all day at work to keep me entertained. NXT is worth the admission price alone.

Oh, cool, you left the wrestling thread to come thread shit here too.
How is this thread shitting? Are the "Vaudevillains" not a highly visible part of NXT? Are they not a terrible act in every possible way? Are you admitting to being a fan of the "Vaudevillains?"

Let's not let our markdom blind us to how terrible 90% of NXT is. Let's not let our blind loyalty dismiss valid observations as "thread shitting." Surely we are better than that, El Pescado.

I know Mojo's fat ass can feel as if he's almost omni-present on NXT but he really aint 90% of the show.

You're always complaining about NXT when it's the best weekly wrestling product running today and have constantly been complaining about the Network when it is an amazing deal.

And yes, I love the Vaudevillains. And Adam Rose.

Mojo sucks though.

What, why? It's currently the best thing they have going.

It's good because they have a bunch of talented guys from the Indies there right now that didn't even really need developmental. Plus some under used good wrestlers from WWE TV. Most of these guys should not be seen until they have more polish. Plus, being seen by a lot of people now makes WWE think they have to bring these wrestlers up to the main roster with the same gimmicks, which is bad.

Fair enough. Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake was my favorite wrestling when I was a kid. I understand.

Yep. It's there brother.

First thing I watched on February 24th actually. What really got me then was that I had heard the re-edited version so many times that has Hogan saying New World Order instead of the original New World Organisation of wrestling, brother.

That was so weird, but good, gave me a lot of faith in the Network having unedited stuff.

Even though I was a huge wrestling fan in the 90s, I have no interest in re-watching the old events.

However, I watched a few episodes of "Legends of Wrestling" and I fuckin love it. I could listen to old inside wrestling stories all night... so I did. I watched the ones about the Monday Night Wars, nWo, and worst gimmicks. I watched a little bit of "Factions" but that was kinda boring and I turned it off. I'll probably check out Rivaries tonight.

If you like that, afterwards go here: http://network.wwe.com/shows/original/wwe-beyond-the-ring

Watch those, especially recommending the ones on Shawn Michaels vs. Bret Hart, Mick Foley, Stone Cold, Edge and the AWA and WCCW docs. They're full of personal stories, backstage/homevideo footage and all kinds of stuff you never knew about.

WCCW doc is amazing and will get you hyped to watch some WCCW that's on the Network in the Vault. Great characters in WCCW, amazing stuff.

This is very nice of them to do. I missed a lot of events from 2006-2012. Anyone recommend any must watch stuff in that time period?

Unforgiven 2006 (John Cena vs. Edge in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match for the WWE title, if Cena loses he's fired from Raw)
Survivor Series 2007 (Batista vs. The Undertaker: Final Encounter Hell in a Cell Match for the World title)
Extreme Rules 2009 (Jericho vs. Rey Mysterio: Mask vs. IC Title, Edge vs. Jeff Hardy ladder match for the WHC)
WrestleMania XXVI (Shawn Michaels vs. the Undertaker: Career vs. Streak)
SummerSlam 2010 (Team WWE vs. The Nexus: 7-on-7 Elimination Match)
Royal Rumble 2011 (40-Man Royal Rumble Match)
Money in the Bank 2011 (John Cena vs. CM Punk for the WWE title on the last day of Punk's contract)
Survivor Series 2011 (show was in MSG, The Rock & John Cena vs. The Miz & R-Truth, CM Punk vs. Alberto Del Rio for the WWE title)
Extreme Rules 2012 (Punk vs. Jericho in a Street Fight for the WWE title, Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena in Lesnar's first WWE match in 8 years)
TLC: Tables Ladders and Chairs 2012 (The Shield vs. Ryback, Daniel Bryan & Kane in a pinfalls-and-submissions-only Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match, Dolph Ziggler vs. John Cena in a Ladder Match for Ziggler's Money In The Bank contract)

I don't hate the Network. It's a good value if you are into the current product. It's a poor product based on what if offers if you aren't into the current stuff. Not having Nitro on there is inexcusable. I also don't feel comfortable giving Vince McMahon money as that would make him think I support the current direction he is taking the company, which I don't.

Lies. 99% of my interest is in old stuff. Because they're included in my Network subscription, I've watched every live PPV since WrassleMania and a couple of NXT shows and they've been surprisingly solid. Dabbled in Legends House and it was meh.

That being said, I've watched every PPV and RAW in chronological order up to 1993. There is plenty of content. I'd say an overwhelming amount of content, and that's why I just started from the beginning.

And if I'm not mistaken they're adding new RAWs in chronological order. When they get to the point where Nitro debuts, I assume they'll start putting them up, too, which will be pretty soon, yeah?

As a UK'er who didn't want to bother with the credit card stuff bit who uses a VPN for Netflix, I jumped on this.

Bit of a lapsed fan these days, haven't watched consistently since probably 2005, but I might check out some of the current stuff and I do enjoy the nostalgia trip that is a late 1990s PPV.

Currently watching the '99 Royal Rumble, app on the PS3 is very nice. Glad to see they've got the Legends of Wrestling round table discussion series on there, I saw a couple of episodes online back in the day and loved them.

Oh yeah. The Legends of Wrestling roundtable discussions are amazing. I've watch a lot of those. And a couple of documentaries which were pretty good.

Seriously, guys. Such an incredible amount of content if you've ever been a fan of wrestling.

Money in the Bank 2011. ECW One Night Stand 2006.

Nice. Thnx for the replies. Gonna try to squeeze some of these in the next week.

The service is actually not bad at all. Very impressed with quality and content. The only big thing that seems to be missing is the attitude era raws. Some of those shows were better than the ppv themselves during that time so they just have to add them eventually. Nonetheless will most likely be subscribing to this service in the future. Prolly in time for summerslam or rumble. Thanks Vince :D

Did they change entrance themes? I swear DDP's opening intro was Smells Like Teen Spirit and it is not that in these events.

DDP's theme was always a Smells Like Teen Spirit knockoff. Is it a knockoff or a totally different thing? Some themes have generic songs dubbed over them if they don't own the rights to use the song.

It might've not been the real thing back in the day but the opening riff was near-spot on...this thing is not even close.

I'm enjoying this so far, just went to watch Unforgiven though and it's split into individual fights on the page and the name of each fight is who won and how. Spoilerific.

Yeah, "Self High Five". Maybe WWE are more scared of being sued then Turner was? I don't think Nirvana were especially thrilled back then.

Does sting come in to Seek and Destroy in the later stuff?

CM Punk special is pretty good. Wrestlemania Rewind.

For the newcomers that watching the network.

*gets on knees* pleasssseeee watch starrcade 85 just for the godtier magnum ta/tully blanchard I quit match.

Afterwards...indulge in some slam city.

This has been great. I don't think 9.99 is justifiable for me since I have no interest in the current PPVs though.

ECW One Night Stand 2006, WM X-7 and Spring Stampede 1999 have been my favorites. I'd also recommend

just for the Cena beating.

Lesnar/Cena was one of my favorite matches that year, ending notwithstanding. Expertly worked.

Its kinda funny to watch all the WWE guys beat up on Bischoff on "Monday Night Wars" for stealing a bunch of their talent and pulling a bunch of dirty tricks bury the show. Then I watch the AWA special and Vince did almost all the same things to cripple that company.

Yep, carny sport, carny tactics. The winners get to write history.
