You thought they were going to keep the belt on Cena? He is slated to beat JBL at WM, so why would he have 2 titles?

Wouldn't be the first time now would it? Hogan vs Ult Warrior anyone?

It has been done before. Besides they went to alll the trouble to make a custom one for him... why not let him at keep it for a bit longer.

But with his CD release coming up, Vince is banking that he will sell a boat load of merchandise. Actually, I do applaud Vince for trying to get some of the tounger talent a run at the title. Seems he is finally seeing that giving the youngsters a chance.

I dont doubt that its a good thing for Vince and Smackdown cuz Cena is very popular. Its just not a good thing for me and really I'm the only person I care about.

Brian I actually agree with you on this.

While its great that Vince is FINALLY getting behind the younger talent, theres a small problem. Cena's in ring work has gotten progressivley worse since his debut. Which is sad.

Basically to makehim interesting youd have to have him turn heel almost instantly after getting the title be it at Mania (which I doubt) or a SD only PPV (more likely).

Have the title go to his head and just make him the cocky, anti authority thug that made him popular to begin with. For god's sake... GET A NEW FINISHER! SOMETHING!

As weird as it is JBL as champ is VERY old school. I keep going to PPVs oping he'll lose. Which is exactly what he should be doing. I should be paying to see him get his ass kicked.

He may not have the best in ring style, but damn does he make up for it on the micand solid brawling ability. Well that and the fact hes not afraid to bleed PROFUSELY!
