14 games into this King of the Ring thing, 12-2 for some odd reason even though not paying any attention to it, but when I went out to check the schedule there are like 21 games left. If you make it tot he finals, 3 potential games more.

This means I don't get access to combining the cards stuck in there for another full day... :(

Concept is great, but they should just store the state of your cards when you enter and not lock them from change in your exhibition deck, this is well annoying.
 
it's bullshit that i can't make a pro version of my rare yokozuna because it's in the king of the ring for hours
 
I can't stop playing. What Belt tier do you guys have in Exhibition Mode? Pretty cool that you will constantly earn better rewards.

How do I get Pro cards though, I did not get a single one yet. Alot of progress to be made there.

Pro cards are created through combining two of the same card at the same level. They give a stat boost, too

and I believe i'm at the super rare stage. I played over 100 games, jesus christ
 
Game is silly fun, too bad there is no friend option.

I jumped into the king of the ring with my first 5 cards and they are still in there. Dont really understand whats going on there :D

Im at 78 - 7 in Exhibition right now. My nick there is MrMuscle, let me know if anyone has beaten me :)

Shit, I wish I knew that before I wasted duplicates for training.

Oh well, I'll probably run into all of those cards a second time.
 
protip:

Max out the dupes before combining them. Your base stats after making a pro card will be higher.

They made this exact same card game with NBA 2k14, and will put it out again for NBA 2k15.

In that game it took me about 5k games before pulling a legendary so beware.

Cheers, going to try this out next. Got an uncommon Eva Marie maxed out and just got a second, so going to max her out then do the combine.
 
I swear, it must be some sick joke on the developers' part that Eva Marie is one of the few rare Divas cards.

Anyways, I couldn't stop playing until 1:30 am in the morning, so now I'm at work without a full night's sleep. But I got a Super Rare Daniel Bryan wrecking town with a Rare Undertaker so it's all worth it.

Kinda wish fusing two maxed Pro versions of a card would net you a basic one with a higher rarity though.
 
I think having a great diva card and a great aligned tag team is the key to success in exhibs.

Goldust's speed being broken tier (he's faster than Rey!) And a SR ladder doesn't hurt either :)

Right now I'm running:
Rare Ziggler
Rare SCSA
Rare Goldust with broken base speed and a +15 SPD special
Rare Ambrose (who I can tag any of my others with)
UC Pro AJ Lee close to max. She only loses to rare divas. Wrecks everyone else.
SR ladder
UC briefcase
 
105 wins and 29 losses right now after playing the past few hours.

I have 1 super rare, 3 rares at level 5, and an uncommon diva at level 15.

The diva is unfortuantely summer rae because I couldn't get any others and I kept losing my diva battles. I might level up AJ, but I'm hoping to just get a rare or super rare.

Speaking of super rares, my deck is basically built on whoever gives the most xp toward super rare +.

Hulk Hogan, The Rock, Yokozuna, Bray, Summer.

Oh, and my name is dlcktlt. XD
 
The main thing that is hurting me right now is the lack of a rare/super rare Diva for my team, that slot is the only Uncommon that I still play, and it's costing me some wins here and there if I have a bad match up here and there (eg solo match against a super rare Vince McMahmon with only Charisma. Vince's Charisma stat is just stupid)

My first King of the Ring I am currently 11-3, after starting out 0-3, so I am hopeful that I will be able to pull out well, currently in 2nd

Same. Did you level her to 15? That helped me a lot. Next step is to have two leveled to merge If I can never get a rare/super.
 
Damn, maxed out my Eva and the other one is in fucking KOTR.

Currently running a Super Rare Seth, Super Rare Del Rio, Rare Bray and Rock and one of my maxed Uncommon Eva Maries, who's still eating rare divas for breakfast with her "mad skillz".

The game is so quick to play that it's so crazy easy to just keep playing and not stop.


I don't really know what I'm doing in the King of the Ring and I have no idea when this shit is going to end.

She is a Pro cover so currently she is at 16 if I remember right, but I have been putting most of my material into my Super Rare Bad News Barrett because he is on my current King of the Ring team and is my powerhouse on my team. I have 3 other Super Rares but I didn't get them until after King of the Ring started, so I don't have them on that roster yet.

As far as I can tell King of the Ring is a 45 round tournament run automaticly with a match every hour or so. Your superstars have stamina that depletes for every match that they are in and recharges for every match they are on your backup roster. You can recharge stamina by switching characters between matches or by using the energy recharges that are fairly common when you make your picks after exhibition matches. You can also buy an assistant manager for I think 500 points that will automaticly recharge your whole roster for 8 rounds. You can see the results of all of your matches if you look at the tournament schedule. The downside is that while you can still train and use superstars that are locked to King of the Ring, you can not combine them, so, for example, my rare Diesel that is on my King of the Ring team, I can't combine him with my second rare Diesel that I got out of a pick.

It's not just 45 rounds... That's just the qualifiers! The top 8 then go into a single elimination tournament, but I'm not sure if that's just one match or best of whatever like NBA games since it is just a reskinned NBA game.

Man, I wished I knew this before combining my two SR Undertakers. Still, I have put in over five hours already and don't see myself stopping anytime soon.
 
350 fights in and only pulled one super rare so far. I keep getting Tyson Kidd or some other shit rare. I'm about to stop playing and move on with my life. PEACE.

One thing to keep in mind, the little meter that lists your level as rare, super rare, super rare +, etc actually increase your odds of getting that level of card out of a pick, so over time as your collection grows your odds of getting more powerful cards goes up.

Yeah. Been super rare+ for a while. I got my super rare Jericho while I was still at rare status. Its getting annoying competing against people with 3 or 4 super rates and even epic cards. PEACE.

The matches are simulated based on your KOTR deck, but they fatigue so you need to switch them out. There's 45 qualifying matches, then an 8 person tournament. Still waiting to find out if it's just a one match round, or if it's best of whatever once the qualifying ends.

Why the fuck is Eric Rowan so good? Don't have him but he's like the only guy I lose to. 120-16 so far.

I'm 13-6 as well. What is your name, maybe we are in the same bracket.

I am not really using Rare level cards anymore, but my Diva slot is still Uncommon, and I am also a completionist so I don't want to start sacrificing rares until I have a full collection. I am almost done with the commons, and about 3/4 finished with the uncommons. Then I will be able to ramp by just sacrificing all of them.
 
another protip from the 2k14 dude:

The brackets you're placed into in the season events (sounds like KOTR) is based off the combined number of your lineup. Same for "play now games" and if they have special events that let you go for 1, 3, or 5 points.

Eventually you're gonna see some people you're up against that only play 3 REALLY strong people and then have 2 untrained commons. This is to be in a lower bracket than they should be.

Train that UC Pro AJ. Divas are the one UC card you should train if that's all you have. Mine is beating Rares in certain matchups.
 
I totally agree the King of the Ring match length is pretty preposterous. I started my bracket early yesterday morning and I'm currently 18-9. Ugh! Gonna take forever. I just want to place in the tournament so I get a card. Otherwise, this was a huge waste of time! :D

Currently 202-18 in exhibition. Name is Jewbags.
