Lazy ass underwhelming debut. Glide down? No. Break through the ring? Nope. Let's have him not come out to his iconic theme, take two hours to ddt and leave.

All they had to do was parrot Starrcade 97 entrance and presentation, WWE really is falling down in production values.

I for one, am satisfied with Sting's debut. Yeah I get that he's balding and there was a new entrance, but seriously come on, this is Sting in WWE and it's worth it. Also, I can't remember the last time I was so excited with the ending of the main event.

Way to be super selective on what to complain about in a pro wrestling show where a lot of dumb things happen.

Fuck all that noise. Even though I knew it was probably coming, that moment was style hype as hell.

Also, even without the overbooking, that match was way better than it had any right being.

I'm not sure what super selective means. Are you suggesting no one should focus on the conclusion of the main event of an important pay-per-view? Or the introduction of a wrestler who steadfastly refused to join the WWE? Or the manner in which this wrestler concluded the pay-per-view?

I expect dumb stuff in wrestling: The Big Show doing his endless alignment changes, SuperZiggler, the AJ Lee squash, etc. The way Sting was introduced was stupid.

Yeah... Zero build up, that music, Michael Cole and the other puppets on commentary and I thought Sting would've been working as hard as he can in the gym over the last six months but supposedly this was some last minute shit. But still age man... :(

Sting in a WWE ring was meh, 13 years too late, if Sting had premiered in WWE after WcW went belly up it would have been great, but he just looks like an old mofo who probably can't walk without pain killers..

Even 10, hell five years ago he was still in decent shape, his body has really broken down these last couple years. I really don't want to see Sting wrestle in 2014/2015, especially in a t-shirt.

Survivor Series was amazing.

Especially the main event.

Dem Ziggles owning the Authority.

Wow, I really enjoyed the main event to the point that Sting's arrival was actually to it's detriment, I'd sooner have had Orton pop down and screw over Rollins because continuity and save Sting for a situation that didn't come across as completely random and underwhelming with the crowd confused as to how to react for the first 5 minutes before settling into an overstatement "this is awesome" chant for two biggish names with no actual history staring at each other.
Then again I have no damns to give about Sting in 2014 but I guess it's nice that some of you could to enjoy it, shame it came years after the point where it could've mattered more.

As much as main event Ziggler rubs me entirely the wrong way I'm glad they gave him the never give up sole survivor role instead of Cena who could easily have been given the same role and sucked all the energy out of it, even so I'd say Rollins came out looking the best in that match.

no actual history staring at each other.

This is my concern as well... storyline wise it really just doesn't make much sense. I hope they at least give some reasonable explanation about why a WCW guy that has no real ties to WWE would just come down to save it from The Authority.

Ugh... having Orton or Reigns screw Rollins over at the end would have made so much more sense and would have been just as satisfying (Moreso even) as having some old ass Crow cosplayer come out for no reason.

Would have been amazing if Ziggler had pulled off the turnaround all by himself though.

And how many times is that that Big Show has turned heel that exact same way now?

But he did pull off the turnaround all by himself, there was just a lot going on from point A to point C.

He will get on growth soon, don't worry about it

I'm already expecting something vague like Sting witnessing WCW driven into the ground first hand by people in power like HHH and he doesn't want to see it happen to another big wrestling company.
Not a great answer but it's the best I can think of.

Keep in mind Sting doesn't have to say shit. Stay silent. Let HHH craft the story around it. He can do it. It'll be fine.

Well I think WWE (rightfully so) stopped any type of ceiling entrances after Owen Hart

Yeah, I'd keep Sting silent as much as possible.
Which means he'll give a 20 minute promo on Raw tonight

I always love when someone like sting makes a debut that is supposed to be a surprise and the announcers know how many titles hes won 1.5 seconds after he walks out.

Modern WWE announcers are terrible

I wish Sting would have gotten a rafter entrance but yeah, I totally understand why they wont do it anymore. That wont stop them from shoving that clip of HBK @ WM12 down everyone's throat though. Sting is probably the only person who could do a rafter entrance today in WWE and get away with it though.

i wanna be hype for Sting but i just feel like the guy doesn't have to wrestle anymore with all the work he's put in , and two...i refuse to believe he want's to be there and I have no issue with that point of view.

Friend, this is all that matters.

There was a big part of me that hoped Sting would never even touch a WWE ring. Make the HOF without ever even wrestling at WM. Though I know this is likely a very short term deal, my guess is Sting/HHH at Royal Rumble, and Sting/Taker at WM.

On a second note, this is by far the worst commentary team put together. JBL is fucking atrocious, King isn't the same without JR to feed him along, and Cole constantly screaming the same line over and over again, I had to turn on mute for a good while.

This roster is also completely wasted. Besides Cena, there really isn't anyone who is proper main event material. Rollins is booked to be there, but never really had proper build up. The one great angle they had (Wyatt family), Harper and Rowan aren't even a part of it anymore? So they split the one good stable they had going?

I thought Harper and Rowan looked good yesterday but there really isn't a build up to a feud asides from the fact that they were once together. No storyline breakup or anything like that.

But there hasn't really been a good 'big man' feud since Taker and Kane so hopefully this could be it.

People were expecting a rafter entrance from Sting?

Really? Are you even serious?

WWE is still probably paying money to the estate of Owen Hart to this day.

Didn't he say he's only interested in one more match?

Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio that the current plan is:
  • Sting/HHH at Mania
  • Rock/Rusev at Mania considered because HHH is now busy
  • Still Lesnar/Reigns
... and that HHH/Ryback at the Rumble is probably not going to happen.

Do these people have legitimate sources or are these just the most obvious guesses that anyone could throw around?

I don't like any of these matches

Splitting Harper and Rowan away from the vacuum of suck that is Bray Wyatt (the character and his go nowhere promos/angles; not the wrestler himself) is the best thing that ever could have happened to them.

yeah that isn't happening anytime soon. Especially not on live tv. But he could've at least gone out with a bat lol.

Anyway i'm pretty happy with last nights Survivor Series in general and Sting's debut. Honestly don't see how this was as bad as i hear many people say it was.

Good lord, I'm not interested in any of those

I don't think Roman Reigns is ready. I know I sung his praises a couple of weeks ago but his interviews are total ass. Dudes gotta step the fuck up with those acting classes cause it's certainly not his wrestling that'll guide him through his career.

Sting vs Triple H sounds interesting.

But the rest .. Not so much

Those are all.... awful.

They are basically the only legitimate source in wrestling news. They've had the planned WM card reported months before its announced on TV for years now.

I would suspect
Rock/Rusev depends entirely on Rock's schedule, if he's doing a movie or promotion for one they'll have to get someone else.

So how are they going to make that Sting appearance make sense? I mean, they could argue that his plan was to disrupt the WWE corporate infrastructure out of revenge for WCW.

Made no sense for a 60 year old man to interfere and beat up the greatest wrestler of all time.
Should have been Randy Orton. It was his home town and the story had already been told for it to happen.
