WWE teases one of the most significant bulk talent acquisitions in WWE history

AJ Styles is absolutely fantastic, could be a WWE savior if handled correctly.

As long as they keep Velvet Sky as far away from the Divas division as possible unless she ditches the "twerking porn star" gimmick, I'm okay with TNA alumni showing up in WWE. Samoa Joe is doing good in NXT, so why the hell not?

I don't care if they aren't written properly. If you wanted to see them grapple and flip you could do already, if they don't come in to be part of big storylines and win titles it makes no sense. Except well, a lot more money for them which is good.

No Kenny Omega?

No. I completely agree with Kenny when he said that he doesn't want to go "back" to WWE because they will be too controlling and bastardize his character and take away his freedom which he need. It is 100% best for Kenny to stick to NJPW and RoH unless WWE completely change. However, WWE will never change because there are too many arrogant people there who are calling the shots. Those people are not so flexible is comparison to NJPW.

Yes, WWE contacted him twice but he doesn't trust them and the contracts offered were not good enough. He NEEDS 100% creative control of himself (and the people around him including those so-called commentators all need to be highly supportive of him and not put him down like they often like to do), without that then Kenny cannot be Kenny Omega.

Jesus. I haven't watched wrestling in years but those Gifs are enough to make me reconsider. Hilarious. This Kenny looks like just the sort of wrestler I would have LOVED back in the day. BRB googling

Shinsuke is leaving NJPW on January 31st, confirmed by NJPW and just vacating the title, so don't expect a Rumble show up unless they worked out a deal.

that's unfortunate. if he's going to vacate the title it would be nice if they could have him as a surprise rumble entrant. or else why not drop the title to kenny omega?

Kenny Omega is a gem. I do hope to one day see him in the WWE.

He has the talent both in ring and on the mic, but I do know how he feels about it all.

No Kenny Omega?

Omega wants creative freedom to simply be himself. He stated in an interview recently that basically, if he can't be himself, he will not perform.

WWE is not the place to be creative. You're a yes man, following orders from a team of people who for the last few years have shown they don't know what the fuck they're doing.

As shown last night, RAW continues to be mostly dogshit and doesn't show any signs of improving whatsoever. Beginning to get a lot more worried about how these guys will be used.

Maybe they can be Smackdown exclusive...

Stephanie McMahon loves the belt. :/

So she has the mind of a ten-year old girl with an obsession over Disney Princesses. Shocking.

I feel like every Divas champion in the last 4 years that wasnt a Bella has said that.

It should happen but its not going to for a long time.

I'm more or less convinced that it's going to happen, that it's going to happen at Wrestlemania, and that Madusa will pop up to chuck that butterfly belt in the trash as Sasha Banks gets the rebooted Women's Championship.

Calling it.

Possibly almost on the eve of Styles' debut in WWE, TNA has just made the most baffling statement imaginable

http://www.tnawrestling.com/Search-Listing/item/6977-AJ-Styles
AJ Styles has always been synonymous with TNA and TNA synonymous with AJ Styles. AJ helped build the foundation of IMPACT WRESTLING, and his phenomenal body of work lives in our rich history - something we are very proud of.

In the last few weeks, rumors have swirled about AJ Styles, his future and TNA Wrestling. Fans have asked for the status and wrestling media have made numerous inquiries.

For the past several months, AJ and TNA were involved in serious discussions to bring him back home to TNA. Creative discussions escalated and two additional wrestlers, Drew Hankinson and Chad Allegra, were enthusiastically added.

These discussions culminated on December 14th in Nashville, Tenn., where all attended a meeting at Dixie Carter's home. A handshake and written deal between AJ, Drew, Chad and TNA was agreed upon and signed by all. Start dates were determined, creative decided, merchandise designed and plane tickets purchased.

Over the Christmas holiday, and after the lawyers finalized the long form agreement, all communication with TNA stopped.

AJ's lawyer contacted TNA and stated the wrestlers had changed their mind and would not be honoring their commitment to TNA.

What good they thought this could do for them, I don't know.

Vince doesn't like people reneging on deals which is ironic but w/e.

All a part of Dixie's masterplan for AJ to be buried in arrival.

"guys, AJ styles is in the news, let's make up a story and put his name out there as much as humanly possible so it looks like we're a legit organization that actually had a chance of stealing him back from new japan".

ok, dixie.

God ive never hated anything as much as i hate TNA, i hate everything about them. Everything they do is monumentally stupid. Its a constant barrage of shit.

This statement is them trying to put themselves over, i guess? Imagine them sitting in a meeting, listening to Florida Georgia Line, and one of the numskulls suggests to use AJ's probable appearance at the Rumble to put themselves over, and the other idiots all nod collectively.

Meanwhile the janitor who cleans whatever shithole TNA uses for meetings has a higher IQ and is a better booker than all of them combined.

Dixie feeling the salt.

You're TNA. You'll never compete with WWE for talent they actually want. It's 2016. Welcome to reality.
Hahaha if they legit made this all up that is amazing. Really want to see if Meltz knows the truth.

Oh good. Someone posted that.

What a weirdly deprecate for attention thing from TNA.

If he signed a contract and broke it you lawyer up and sue. Dont make a press release.

I fully expect he was in talks with them but if he was looking to sign with someone and wasn't taking to everyone else with a chequebook (TNA, Lucha Underground, NJPW again etc.) then he needed new managers.

If there was never any deal in place, could AJ or the other two sue for slander?

I am not familiar with US law on the matter but maybe?

One would think if such laws exist and no deal was signed that AJ and others could say this statement damages their reputation and credibility which is important in a field such as pro wrestling and they could demand a public apology and maybe damages.

Dude is incredible. In you can, get PWGs all star weekend dvd/bluray. His matches were great but the match with will osprey is one of my top choices for match of the year.

Sadly the odds of AJ and co being fed to people like Cena and Reigns is very high. I mean, sure they were champions elsewhere but we all know how WWE treats other champions from elsewhere.

Besides........they got to pay their dues and respect the business.

So incredibly petty.

At this point, I honestly wish that this company would just fold and put a stop to their nonsense once and for all.
I hope AJ has a legit case for libel and takes TNA for whatever money they have left in the courts. AJ should be the one to shut them down permanently. What a story that would be!
(It'll make the pain of him being fed to Roman to make him look strong easier to live with.)
