How does this games dialogue system even work? They talk about "deep meaningful choices" but I'm looking on youtube for footage of anything that isn't combat or dramatic slow-mo cutscenes and can't find anything...

It's gamefaqs, but multiple people have been saying that it's short.

Wow, 4-5 hours? That's terrible. Definition of a "rental" or a <$10 buy.canadian crowe said:Some people on gamefaqs claim to have gotten the game early. They are saying that it's okay, and lasts about 4-5 hours.

I had a really good time with UA1, playing co-op with a buddy online. Of course it was years ago so I don't know how well it aged or what UA2 did differently.Retro_ said:Was UA1 good?
UA2 was shit but I just looked up that they didn't develop that one
Legends 2 was amazing I'd love another one of those with Online
I'm playing through UA1 on my PSP for the first time. I played through Legends 2 on the PSP a few years ago, so it's hard for me to remember how similar it is, but I'm pretty sure it's almost the same gameplay.Retro_ said:Was UA1 good?

There's a reason I call you the thinker.Ninja Scooter said:no the definition of a rental is a game that you can rent and then have to return after a certain amount of time because you do not own it.

You hand it to developers that clearly don't care.LeonSKennedy90 said:Jesus...how do you fuck up an X-men RPG!?

Unlike Legends 2 MUA did not have the dungeon crawl variety of loot. Loot was uncommon and did not have as many cool permutations, i think characters only got one slot. Each character had suits instead which gave skill bonuses, so once you level up your guys the suits are done and you rarely ever get new items again. I played on PSP and the backtracking through the game got very inconsistent with what the scripting did(some bosses come back and talk and some don't appear, some levels are empty if you access them backwards). Redoing your favourite levels does not work quite as well as XML2, the simulator stuff has better high score chasing though and also doesn't stop paying out cash and prizes if you beat it once. The knockback button now charges up which changes all of the combos a little bit, I think XML1 was best in this area, can't remember if I prefer 2 or MUA next. The end of act bosses are all gigantic and QTE or other gimmicks in between clearing normal enemies. Net play with randoms on the PSP was extremely laggy and seemed to lacking in netcode (press forward and wait your ping to move).Retro_ said:Was UA1 good?

I think it is this but it has been a few years for me:Rodney McKay said:I'm playing through UA1 on my PSP for the first time. I played through Legends 2 on the PSP a few years ago, so it's hard for me to remember how similar it is, but I'm pretty sure it's almost the same gameplay.
Wolverine at least seems to play indentical. Instead of health potions there are health and energy orbs that enemies drop and you just absorb. I need to look up how to do the hero's super moves, because I don't understand how they work in UA1. Wolverine seems to be the only guy I have who is leveled up enough to use it, but it just seems to activate automatically when the meter gets full. Anyone know if that's how it's suppose to work?
The Marvel fan service is off the CHARTS in this game and I'm not even very far into it. You start on the SHIELD helicarrior and then you go to a SHIELD giant tank thing, and now I'm off to Atlantis to help out Namor.

I was giving them the benefit of the doubt and assuming malice.neorej said:Or just hand it to developers that can't do better than mediocre.
Far too reasonable.ShockingAlberto said:I was giving them the benefit of the doubt and assuming malice.
Having played X-men Legends and all games but MUA2 for hundreds of hours each I want something along those lines but a little different now. Keep it as a brawler rpg-lite even but new game from the ground up that is online friendly too.Square Triangle said:I just want a true Xmen Legends sequel.
