I think 100 titles backwards compatible at launch would be awesome. I'm sort of on the fence about getting a 360 on Day One, after initially being really excited. No real fault of Microsoft's, just that I realize I have plenty of current gen games still to play and I don't really NEED a new system.
Still, a good amount of BC titles would go a long way to push me into taking the plunge.

No, actually when the language pack is not installed, it defaults to the Western ISO charset and attempts to render based on those character indexes, creating shit like empty boxes and the function symbol to appear. I've never seen the "??????" shit before in my life, and believe me I've worked with odd charsets in IE, in my former life as a web dev.rastex said:So quick to bash. The dude could be using Firefox, which prolly does things differently, but I just assume that nobody does, since non-IE browsers are gay.

Agreed. I see only the boxes which mean character set missing i see no ?????, mnust be the browser.. do u really think microsoft would bother to put up a translation with ???s in it? Come on, use your brains.

It's pretty obvious I've admitted that it was the charset and not MS. If you're expecting me to grovel and say "sorry, OMG I was so mistaken," well, I won't. Not my style.
Anyway, I wouldn't have been surprised if MS had forgotten to translate something before posting to an "internationally-friendly" site, because working in content publishing here, I'm familiar with our globalization process and how it has failed us in the past. Anyone honestly trying to flame me based on the inference I made is really grasping for some internet superiority. My advice: try getting laid, instead.
