Revolution, PlayStation 3 and X360 will all have CPUs *based* on the Power/Altivec architecture /instruction set as alluded to by arhra....
*fun fact*
Did you know that the main CPU in the GameCube (Gekko) is *also* a PPC-based CPU developed by IBM???
Even though at the time Apple was offering the Power Mac G4 (Sawtooth) PPC, the Gekko was more advanced than Sawtooth in many ways (180nm manufacturing,first ever processor to use copper transistors) and yes, the 485Mhz Gekko was/is faster than a 500Mhz Sawtooth G4 in some ways
*/fun fact*
At any rate, the Power architecture is an IBM (not apple) FAMILY of chips(well....motorola too, though they are not actively involved anymore, IIRC) and has been used in everything from Macs to GameCubes to Segas Model 3 board (66Mhz back then :lol...geez how time flies) and now with next gen consoles (all 3 of them)...it is IBMs archetecture and is the foundation of everything they do that is CPU-ish...
Here is what they have to say on thier website:
http://www-306.ibm.com/chips/techlib/techlib.nsf/productfamilies/PowerPC
IBM PowerPC® microprocessors, embedded processors and cores can help you meet your specific design needs. As members of the IBM Power Architecture family of products that power everything from handhelds to mainframes, enterprise class servers to video game consoles, IBM PowerPC products deliver high performance, power optimization, and excellent value.
As you can see, Power is much more than just about Apple.....it can be, and is, customizable per application....
P.S. Don't listen to the "WTF are you talking about, dude" replies as we can't really expect you to keep up on all the hardware details out there
