I agree with the comments in the link, so far...but only in regards to the color they chose...the system, headset, controller, and eyetoy-alike things all would look pretty damn nic in a different finish as opposed to just nice

As far as the size goes, look at the disc tray. The 360 seems to come in exactly around the size speculated - just a little bit smaller than the original PS2.

Honestly - I don't like it. It reminds me too much of a PC tower.
Closer shots might change my opinion, but for now I'm not impressed.

Then again so was the Xbox...but that didn't stop it from worming it's way into my affections as one of my favourite consoles ever.

That is pretty ugly, Mac style badly imitated with unnecessary gimmicks (inhaled shape etc.). Lacking a strong design identity, camera is an oddly shaped ellipse, and the controller isn't sharing the same visual identity.

Not that the looks really matter, I have my Xbox currently behind closed doors and my PSTwo visible - regardless I play Xbox most. I was just hoping Microsoft to really nail it this time.

Will buy this the first day anyway or before anyway.

hm, that controller looks a lot like the old-model logitech wireless pads. i liked the previous pictures of xbox 360, but it looks huge and ugly there.

edit: or maybe i'm thinking of a logitech pc pad. it looks like something.

So the HD attaches at the "top" only if you have the 360 on it's side? So if you have the 360 horizontal, the hd attaches to the side then?

yeah, i agree. its like they knew someone was gonna snap a picture somehow so they didnt put the final one on display.

Granted it's not the best picture, there must be logos on there (the top of the unit?) and on the front of the unit if you got up close.

IMO...the design is kinda "so what"/"blah".

actually, if that whole black thing is the disc tray, i think it's fairly small. ps2 sized, roughly. although it looks hulking in that shot for whatever reason.
