Xbox and Bethesda Showcase June 12th

Edit: and just to add... in a thread literally about the Bethesda and Xbox showcase. How is that image of them joining Xbox and the awesome trailer associated with its completion considered off limits? Make it make sense.

If it's pro Xbox it's not allowed unless there are at least 10/1 posts shitting on it. Got to maintain the ratio. It's very one sided at this point. Hoping we can get some new mods around here who are not so openly biased.

^ Most of the games on that list were already extremely expected to be at the show.

But let's see what *new* surprises we get.
 
They have such a leaky ship at the best of times, and have announced most of the games that their studios are working on. I fail to see how they can have that many surprises in store, especially for 2022.

It's a bugger.

Shifting to a new engine is a big undertaking, so we want to be clear that we will not be announcing any new projects or titles for some time," said The Coalition. That being said, Gears 5 players can still expect more content on the way through Operations 7 and 8 where each Operation will feature new characters, new maps, and special events.

thats a year ago and right before the Xbox show case
 
Some time suggests to me a couple of years at a minimum. Gears 5 only released in 2019 so it's not like in 2021 their next game was long overdue. We'll see though.

I'm not expecting a lot of big surprises for 2022, but we only know about a fraction of the games they have in development. They have something like 30+ teams at this point and they also have a bunch of Xbox Publishing partnerships in development.

Jez has already talked about all these leaked codenames. Project Dragon is the fantasy RPG from IOI, Belfry is the 2d action adventure game from Stoic that supposedly as a Princess Mononoke aesthetic. Project Indus is a strategy game from Oxied games.
 
If we get a lineup for this year at this event of Belfry, Pentiment, GoW MCC, and Forza Motorsport then this is a pretty solid year. basically the kind of year you'd expect when AAA games are taking 4 years to make and Ms only had 4 Real first party studios at this time in 2018. obviously things will get much better when those 2018 additions and bethesda start giving heavy higher exclusives.
 
Would be nice to see some first party games that aren't Forza/Gears being announced and released sometime in the soon future. Xbox have let me down hugely since Launch. I think I've literally played more first party Apple(arcade) games than Xbox and that's just says a lot.
 
I think it's gonna be a solid show. Microsoft has been pretty on point with their latest show cases, revealing lots of games both third party and first in quick succession without boring talk in between. Sure, a lot has been CG trailers but when you are watching it doesn't really matter since right there and then it's just games, games, games. Plus this year I believe we gonna see more gameplay of all the games MS revealed in the past.

Taste is subjective, but it's true. I really have been enjoying more mobile games as of late and my consoles haven't been on as often. Last time PS5 was on was R+C release and last time Xbox was on was… hmm think 3-5 months ago? Also, watch your language.

I guess special interest boards get filled with those that love and hate said special interest in equal numbers. It would just be weird to me to spend time posting on a board dedicated to a platform I have no real interest in. Hence my lack of an account at NintendoLife, LOL.

Belfry is new Compulsion game, Midnight is new project from Banner Saga devs, Indus is 4X strategy from Oxide games and Dragon is IOInteractive project (supposed to be Diablo style game)

Lets say they show Contraband, Coalitions new game and Everwild, they all end their trailers with "2023"

Wonder if MS is ever going to show a single exciting game? I know ppl might feel that way about Starfield. But I dunno a bloated 100hr Fallout type RPG isn't really doing it for me.

Why don't they literally have any cool, tight, single player experiences? I have an Xbox Series X. Will probably hold onto it. But I am considering selling it, for either a cheap gaming PC or a PS5.

Like Redfall? Why? Serioulsy. I love Arkane. Maybe my favorite studio. I dont want a coop shooter from them, and its probably not even going to be good.

Its just crazy how they dont have anything to play this year. I am getting tired of it. Do better with the smaller games at least.
