Can confirm. It’s still got some issues, from what I can remember, but absolutely nothing really glaring or major. It’s at the state it should have been at launch and it’s a blast to play.

I mean, a couple days ago i opened the Sony's showcase thread on the last page trying to look for some new leaks and most comments were from people making fun of Xbox, which both explains why the other thread has more pages, and why most fans from Xbox left or aren't active at all

I don't care man. I had an Xbox since I was a kid. OG Xbox my dad got me at a pawn shop. I tried PS5, PS4. It's not my platform of choice. I don't like it. I don't like the games. I don't like the trophies. I don't like anything about it except some minor details like the UI.
I will literally stick with Microsoft and be a part of their ecosystem until there is no more ecosystem. Can you blame Xbox fans for finding another website or not being active on here after seeing nothing but Jim Ryan memes, and negativity about Xbox? If you say anything positive about Xbox you are just dogpiled here. You're literally in one of the few Xbox threads that are active and you are shit talking Xbox to me right now lol....

Funny story why I "chose" Baseball.
In the early 1980s (yeah that long ago) I was invited to a Bobby Knight Basketball camp at IU because I was one of the States leading returning scorers in High School.
I remember Coach Knight talking to me and said something along the lines of "I hear you can throw a Baseball about 90 MPH. Well son stick with Baseball because you don't like to play defense in Basketball"

Some of them got permabanned. Others got banned for long periods of time and just never came back when their bans were up. A number of them who were very combative over the ABK deal mostly vanished when the CMA blocked it. Then Redfall tanked. I mean, realistically, it's not a very good time to be an Xbox fan, all things considered.

What am I suppose to do? Write an angry letter to Phil Spencer? Sell my Xbox and only use my PS5 that I only played Hogwarts and a couple exclusive games through PS extra on then never used again? I invest in the products. I wait and see what stuff they have coming out. And I play new game pass releases, I play major releases like Diablo 4 on my Xbox. Am I suppose to just drop the system? Is that what people are doing, lol? All your interest and investment in a platform gone just because there's been a stumble in the first party games pipeline?
I really don't get the pull that PS has on some people. I tried the exclusives, one and done single player games that in a matter of 1.5 months I played through most of the major ones and I was not mind blown. Not worth switching platforms and losing access to game pass and day one games over that's for sure (IN MY OPINION). There's people out there that have high end gaming PC's and game on PlayStation 5 instead for games available on both. I do not understand it. Maybe if you were nostalgic for PlayStation and you are seeing new versions of games that remind you of older ones like Ratchet & Clank/God of War. I guess I can understand it then. But swapping from Xbox to PS if you were already invested in Xbox to begin with?
90% of games are on both platforms. One platform has an industry leading subscription service and one platform has usually highly rated console exclusives every few months that later come out on PC. Wow. Big difference. Almost identical performance on both too. PS5 negligible lead in some games.
One word: BANDWAGON - PlayStation is just the popular thing right now and it's cool to hate on Xbox.

Everyone should be thick skinned on the internet by default but it gets tiresome after a while seeing the same thing over and over in literally every topic about remotely anything related to xbox.

I said before, Microsoft deflated a lot of hype by announcing their showcase months in advance. Sony knows how to build hype, and having a showcase 1 week from announcement mean's that it's fresh in peoples minds.

We will be more positive about xbox when they actually do something to be positive about. People here celebrated hifi rush, but we will continue to call them out on their poor management. Its not negativity, its just a fact that xbox is managed poorly. We are not going to say nice things about them to make their hard core fans not feel bad about themselves

I can't control them releasing shit games like Redfall. And not releasing AAA titles on a regular basis. All you can do is wait and see what the future holds. Doesn't change the original point that yeah I know mods and others have said that the Xbox criticism happens organically because of how things are right now, but who wants to come in and see PlayStation users celebrating, the newest Xbox is dead thread? Eventually they move on to somewhere else. Believe it or not, some people are emotionally invested in one ecosystem.
I guess we could create Xbox is doing great threads and start huffing the copium.

Well, the Xbox show is almost 3 weeks further away, and Xbox has already done a few shows of its own products in the past few years; Sony has been quiet since launch aside from its State of Play events for partners and the launch spotlights of games that came out. PS fans have been aching for this event for 2 years now.
Sony also emptied its Phase I warchest of announced titles, so aside from Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine and TLoU Factions, PS fans are only working off of a frenzy of rumors (which have been plentiful in the interim.) Microsoft meanwhile still has to deliver titles from its launch showcases (even Hellblade 2 from a year before console launch still isn't out, and Starfield was announced way before that,) so you can kind of guess that several MS showcase surprises will be non-surprise showings of games we already know about, and the surprise will hopefully be how good they look.
PS obviously has a lot of engendered fan loyalty from its extended history (and they for the most part have brought the goods for the audience with PS5, a little late maybe or a little less "next-gen-quality" than maybe people hoped for a console launch but still a decent slate of heavy hitters, whereas Xbox has struggled more transparently and probably FH5 is their only undisputed blockbuster,) but when the time comes, I don't doubt people will show up for an Xbox showcase. Both are events gamers have been waiting for...

That is the point. The emotionality of those individuals prevent them from critically assessing and acknowledging the failures of Xbox and even beng defensive about it.

Yeah, but I think that falls squarely on Microsoft as they haven't given Xbox fans very much to be excited about outside of one shadow dropped game. I don't know this, but I think Microsoft has been sitting on their hands throughout this entire ABK acquisition saga trying desperately not to twitch. And now it looks like that isn't happening anyway. In the meantime, it has been a year and a half since the last AAA Xbox game. Last year's showcase promised Redfall and Starfield in one year and we've got another delay and a dud. And then we've got sales threads that seem to be last gen on repeat and no one can seem to figure out why Xbox stock levels are so much lower than PS5. Not going to rehash Phil's tirade a couple of weeks ago, but that man looked as frustrated as anyone. That's an ugly damn picture to paint.
Microsoft isn't making it easy for Xbox fans to be Xbox fans. Doesn't help that you've got a bitter rivalry with PlayStation and all the shit that goes along with it. But this year was supposed to be a huge year for Xbox. It just has not panned out and Xbox fans are disheartened.
Thankfully, Microsoft has a chance to reverse everything the second half of the year starting with their showcase. Fuck the ABK bullshit. They need to kick some ass and show off anything they have been holding back. And yeah, Starfield needs to be great.
Give Xbox fans something to beat their chest about and they will be back here doing just that.

I know Xbox isn't doing great lately. But I'm not shaken at all by it. Because I have faith in the product/leadership and the ability to bounce back.
The issue I have, is the "kicking while you're already down", and the "beating the dead horse". Jim Ryan memes, Conversations that allude to the idea that if Microsoft ever owns a studio its doomed to be terrible and never make a good game again. More recently, the idea that if a game isn't a PS5 exclusive it's doomed to be forever shit. Fantasizing about Sony acquiring major publishers despite them already being the market leader by far. You see that kind of banter commonplace. It's like Sony's camp has been empowered and basically given a ticket to say whatever the hell they want now.
