You can't just buy From Software like you would some independent company, From is owned by Kadokawa one of the largest entertainment conglomerates in Japan. This is the equivalent of someone saying Sony should buy Rockstar while forgetting they are owned by Take Two.

They would get Crystal Dynamics, Eidos Montreal, Warhorse Studios, Tombraider IP, and the biggest enchilada of them all, rights to LOTR in movies, tv, gaming, toys, merchandise. And hundreds of IPs for Gamepass catalog.

Then have World's Edge create a LOTR RTS game.

I dunno if I want Microsoft to have another video game exclusivity on a third-party IP like LOTR. The situation with Battletech is fucked specifically because Microsoft is gatekeeping Battletech-based video games (including Mech Warrior). It has created friction.

Xcloud has not hit nvidia streaming quality yet aka 4k and a min of 30fps. However xcloud is 1440p and can stream current gen games on xbone/series. An upgrade is expected for helix.

Acquisition is more than about 1 console ecosystem & unfortunately folks will lose their jobs.
