Am I crazy or wasn't Dark Souls among the first rumored titles you predicted? It seems to be missing from this post, and older post of yours. I could have sweared that it was on one of the list of games you posted.

I'd love for it to become Backwards Compatible in December. (Dark Souls 2 wouldn't hurt either).

Here's hopping most publishers jump on board

It's a horrible solution, but right now I have all my 360 games on my internal drive and all my Xbox One games on an external. And all EA Access games on a second external.

Yeah, I did. I actually saw dark souls and DS2 today, but I didn't get as far as trying to validate it in any way.
There are quite a few bamco arcade games now, so at least we know they aren't against it.

I guess with DS3 due you might expect them to do one of the other games as a freebie if they've got them working, so we may see it pop up again soon.
Skyrim is an interesting one, I haven't seen that in a while but I saw it in two locations today.

Last month I saw dungeon siege and dirt 3 keep showing up and then they turned up as GWG, so I'm also trying to pick out a pattern there to figure out what might be GWG next, as they appear to release it into the wild a few weeks before the games are announced.

Don't get too hopeful, it might not turn up until they announce it as a pre order bonus or something.

I've seen a lot of Halo Reach, but that is kind of boring because we already know it's coming. I guess that shows that it might be 100% up and running and ready to show up soon. I said the same about RDR, but they are still schtum on that.
 
I'd really love to see Injustice, Street Fighter IV (and less likely Marvel Vs. Capcom) make the next wave. SFIV might be a longshot given Sony's exclusivity on SFV, but maybe?

Somebody pointed out to me on Reddit (in a flurry of swears) that MVC2 was delisted. There are another couple of delisted ones also.

So it's either that I'm way out on those, or perhaps because it shares similar code to other ports they are testing it also.

Just cause 2 is a good example of this, Toy story 3 was one of the earlier games I saw and it's the same engine.
 
The 360 BC solution is like a hundred million times better what Sony has implemented with their PS2 Classic/Remaster service. It's really not even close. I'm surprised Sony has chosen that route. 360 solution is not perfect but is insanely elegant by comparison. If you own a BC game (digitally or on disc), then you can play it free of charge - with achievements, screenshots, resume, clips, streaming, etc...

This is very true. I'm not sure how the emulator on PS4 works, whether it automatically upscales games and smooths out framerates etc, but now they are adding trophies who decides what those trophies are? Is it the original developers? What if they aren't around anymore? Even if they are, it's extra work for them whereas the X1 method requires no work on their behalf.

It's a strange solution. Especially having to buy things you already own again, which is also negated by the X1 method.

PS2 emulation isn't really comparable. It's more of a classics type thing while 360 games still have active player bases with MP and stuff.

Surprised? People are going to pay them $15 a game to play games they already own. Why wouldn't you go that route? Hell, when the 360 wasn't BC people thought THAT was the reason why lol

On topic - any word on when the new list of BC games is going to be announced?
 
Hey I have a question. So, I have downloaded Gears of War 3 on my xbox one (bought the game digitally on xbox live for 360) and have my saves on the cloud so i can play the game.

Now, I have no space on my 360 and was wondering if I need the 7.6 gigs (and 7.1 for Judgment) for the game? Can I delete it or even just move it to a flash drive?

I was just wondering how it would affect the xbox one game. I know it won't affect the saves as that is in the cloud, but if the game is technically gone on my xbox 360, will my One think I won't have it anymore?

Or am I dumb and that is not how it works, so I can just delete the games on m 360?

You can delete the game. All that matters is that the license is attached to your account.
 
Oh god, there's still no Daytona USA on even the speculation list. :(

It's gonna delist without being made BC... I can feel it.
 
If the crackdowns aren't in the second batch I'm gonna be pissed it's first party should be a no brainer

I mean I'll even take just the first at this point

If that list is real! Holy moly. I own so much and would play do much of those. if they sort all that and more I just think I might be swayed to adore my xbox one

So we're not expecting GTA4? Bought it with the quickness in the black friday digital sale with hopes of future BC.

I'm also hoping for RE4 and MGS Collection. RDR seems like a lock.
 
Give me some EA games like Mass Effect 2 + 3, Kingdoms of Amalur and Alice: Madness Returns. I also hope we'll see Left 4 Dead 1 + 2 soon!
 
Literally can't get hype over any of the supposed list. With the initial reveal of the first games a few weeks ago, that shit got deflated.

I would think MS would want to drop some bombs since it's close to Christmas and the PS Experience is going on right now. Maybe they will next week, maybe it won't pertain to backwards compatibility at all but would like to see them do something.
 
Add me to the list of people wanting Ninja Gaiden 2 added. I remember the game bringing the 360 to its knees during the staircase battle, I really want to do it again and see how the Xbox One handles it.
