When this is all over, I would love the video documentary on how the selection process worked. Just pull the curtain back a little bit for us...

A little annoyed with some of these games being picked that already have a new version on the Xbox One. Especially when they're hella cheap (You can easily get Ghosts and AW physical for 10 or less).

Better than nothing. But it is odd how some of this stuff seems to get picked.
I'm just assuming some games just translate to the emulation more easily and that's why they make it in over others.

I'm sure there is a heavy "low hanging fruit" influence in their decision making. Also I'm sure publisher interest is part of it also.

People purchased those games on 360. So they should be forced to buy the X1 versions just to make sure you don't get annoyed? Makes sense.

I think Sonic Adventure has actually aged pretty well and is a lot fun to this day. It's still the only 3D Sonic game I have really liked.

I get that. I want to know what was going on during the lulls in activity. Like, did they start working on Sonic Adventure right after Saints Row the Third was added? I want a deep dive. I know we will never know, but the whole BC thing still fascinates me.

I would love to know how big the team is and if this is their fulltime role or a side project.

I didn't say that.
I understand the reasoning as to why they're BC. Just said games shouldn't be a priority in my eyes.
Way to put words in my mouth. Especially when you conveniently ignore my second bit.

More likely licensing imo. It's almost always licencing. These game got cleared, others are held up for one thing or another. I'd love FM4 on BC but the back of that manual tells me its bloody unlikely.

I bet its more all over the place than we think. I don't know how many team members they have but I could see them prioritizing games based on certain factors in such a way that they have games they are working on when there are no high priority games to work on.

Like a game a is a low priority game and its been worked on for the last 8 months but gets set aside every time a higher priority game comes into play.

In a weird way it wouldn't surprise me if 1st party titles are considered low priority compared to 3rd party and even multi-plat games because in those cases they want to incentivize publishers to bring as many games as possible to BC by giving them the highest priorities.

I agree, I wonder what those factors are in deciding prioritization and if there are low priorityy games that get shelved while they are working on high priority stuff which games are those and how long have they been in the pipeline?

Well, yeah, Mario 64 was a better game then and now, but it shows its age too. The camera is often frustrating and some of the levels feel pretty barren. Mario still controls like a dream though.

I'd say Mario 64 was a 10 when it came out and like a 9 now. Sonic Adventure was a 9.5 and an 8 now.

It's been mentioned that they look at usage stats to help prioritize. I have no idea how active the community still is for Advance Warfare on the 360 but it could be a factor. Remember, this program among other goals is to entice people upgrading from a 360 to an Xbox One.

I thought it was mediocre even back when I got the Dreamcast at launch. It was neat eye candy that faded fast. It stands up poorly compared to something like Mario 64 or even Rayman 2.

How does dlc work with bc? Mainly asking for fallout related games and dark souls, as im probably picking up a One tomorrow and that's what I'm gonna wanna play before anything else.

Ahh that's a good point. There are definitely still people playing all the CODs on 360

They port it over too. Any DLC you bought is made available on the Xbox One. You may have to click on the Select/Menu button and download it from the list.

Was gonna worry about it until I checked for myself, but yeah, as long as your Chao Garden data was in the cloud (was it separate saves on 360? I can't recall), it'll be accessible.

Heh. When BC was first launched people were complaining because they thought MS wouldn't allow games that had a native XBO version in order to drive sales. ;)

Possibly waiting for Metal Gear Survive.
Possibly it's being worked on right now.
Possibly Konami won't approve.

Don't think the multiple game thing is a concern.

Honestly activision deserves a lot of praise for making games BC that have remasters. To think they used to get shit on for not being on at all, now they're probably one of the "best" (read: less money grabbing) publishers for it.

You do so on the console or on the web. If you have Xbox credit though, you will not be able to use that to purchase 360 content. You must have a real debit/credit/Paypal account on your account...

...unless the game itself has an in-game DLC menu then you can buy the content with Xbox credit.

Keep hope alive. It was on Ekim's list back when BC was new. A ton of games from that list have become BC. So I believe!
