Ok big problem with killer instinct. I bought the $20 pack. It's fine. Now I want to upgrade to the $40 pack. It won't let me. I should be charged an additional 20.i have 35 in funds but it is saying I need the full 40 to unlock.

I thought you could upgrade like this?

The kinect voice commands will evolve and get better. Just a thought: I wonder if instead of prefixing every command with "Xbox---" is it possible to have an option where we raise a fist (prob not in games) so that kinect can definitively prepare for the command? This would probably eliminate most errors.

Should have added a button to the controller, when pressed you don't have to say xbox.

Got off the phone with Amazon (this is about those that ordered Xbox One's this morning). The rep told me that I 100% have a Day One edition. That I will get it 100% on Monday. But that, they also said it's very likely I get it Friday. That the estimated delivery date is wrong, and needs to be changed for some folks that ordered this morning.

So, either way I'm happy with that. Even if I have to wait until thanksgiving to play it (I'm busy with school all week. Only had Friday-Sunday off.

I'm a bit confused... I've been in talks with Stephen Totilo on Twitter about the X1 not passing the 5.1 sound through and then making it stereo sound. But then I see an article this morning that says that's the case when using Optical cable for sound.

So are we all good with HDMI only? Is our sound not nerfed? I asked Stephen, told him I was all HDMI and he said he was too... but lol, I didn't understand if that meant he was too and it still had the issue, or he is HDMI only too like me and doesn't have to worry about it.

There's no way I'm hooking up my Direct TV to the X1 only to have my Direct TV broadcast like Laker games and NFL games and movies on my movie channels nerfed down to Stereo sound from 5.1.

Color me confused right now. Oh well.. off to work. I'll see if any of you were able to figure that out too. Thanks guys.

you can enable surround for the pass-through, it's just that the setting is marked as beta

You don't have to say Xbox in front of every command, that's just to get it to listen or if you only want to do that one command. Once it's listening, as indicated in the top right corner, you can continue to say commands without saying 'Xbox' until it stops listening as seen in this video.

Watching the livestream on IGN. Sounds like Ryse could be getting better reviews than people thought. They seem pretty positive about the story and combat. Said combat was comparable to Arkham games...
