Because the last time I ditched one I showed up the next morning with my ticket at GameStop and found out they sold my PS3. Fuckers. Not gonna let that happen again.

I'm assuming that if they are offline it doesn't have a real date to go off of. Therefore, it likely gives it a minimum datetime value, which is likely 1/1/1751 for whatever database they are using. Just a guess, could be wrong.
Well the guy in chat upgraded the speed from 2 Day to 1 Day so I should get it on the 22nd now(before it was the 26th). So we'll see.

This is true, but this issue doesn't ococur on the Xbox 360 smartglass app, only on the Xbox one app meaning it must be a glitch. Anyoen can also verify?
What date displays on the 360 smartglass app?
I understand its an odd glitch on a new app, but is it really a big deal?

What's funny is early on I thought Driveclub would be meh and that Infamous would be great but my opinion on both have totally changed. The recent Infamous gameplay vid was straight up boring honestly, he was just running around shooting at hordes of enemies with his fire/smoke balls. It seemed way too easy but ever since Driveclub has gotten delayed it's looked fantastic in those facebook clips. The lighting is so realistic.

It really depends on how close you are to shipping center. The PS4 I had ordered from Amazon shipped on Thursday and arrived on Friday, and it was sent UPS ground. It only had to travel around ~150 miles from the closest shipping center/warehouse.

Its not really a glitch. Offline achievements don't get time stamped like online ones so like Godslay said, the app is just defaulting to a random date. It's really not that big of an issue if at all.
I gotta ask, how'd you get an employee "I Made This" console?

Yeah, that's basically just a luck-of-the-draw situation. I live about 20 minutes from a Best Buy distribution center, but extremely far from an Amazon one. It's awesome, as several games I have pre-ordered from BB arrived the day before release.

That's why I'm curious what the 360 smartglass app gives in terms of a date. If it doesn't give one, I'm of the assumption that it is being hidden, and 1/1/1751 is stored in that field. I'm assuming that it isn't being hidden in the Xbone app, and that datetime is being displayed. Just a guess from working with SQL server.

I seriously hope MS will be updating their OS cause while the UI seems gorgeous, responsive and all, the fact that you cannot install games and download at the same time is bullshit (as seen in the moonlight stream). Additionally many people don't have a great download speed in here, users reporting having to wait 3 hours before they play their games is such a turn off. I don't mind waiting for 10-15minutes but cmon, every single game has a hefty patch to download day one. Once again, sucks for users with slow ass Internet.
LOL, look at that front page, GAF is really pulling double duty these days to down play the Xbox One...

As I thought. Sounds like the achievement date is hidden on the X360 app front end in some way. Basically, it would be something like if achievement date is equivalent to that min value then hide it in the UI. Seems like that block of code didn't make it over to the Xbone app. It isn't necessarily a glitch, just not complete, or they decided to show that date for whatever reason.
It's up for me!

I think you need to connect it up once with setting your console up, then you can unplug and do away with it.

Man this controller is so good. The triggers feel even better than the 360's if that's possible. They don't push down too far, so you have a solid backing on them. The bumpers are better than I remember - I usually hit them by the edge of my fingers anyway.
