Anyone having issues adding friends through the smartglass app? I've been sending friend requests to anyone I see posting their GT in this thread. Most (including some that show more than 100 friends/followers) are working fine, but sometimes the app doesn't do anything when I tap to send friend requests. Is this happening to others?

(If anyone feels like friending/following me, gamertag is Sithewok)

Bullshit. I did this all. Last night. Downloading while installing works flawlessly and you can even alter your download and install queues on the fly.

As a newby to the world of XBOX, any recommendations on if I should setup my live account/gamertag before Friday (or if I can)? Any tips on making a good gamertag?

Crumbled and pre-ordered Forza today after Sessler's review. Will be playing that, KI, KS:Rivals Preseason, and Fitness when it comes out. BF4 for Christmas...

Saw some coverage of the upcoming Video Game Awards and excited that I will finally be able to play almost anything announced (outside of PS4 exclusives).

Friday will be awesome between the One and SM3D World...

I just got my MS account email all sorted out, time to purge my friend list for the first time since I got live with my OG xbox.

If you're buying digitally you download the patch and game at the same time and it is downloading and installing at the same time too.

No, I'll only go digital for KI and FIFA (cause it's included). At best my connection DL @ 1MB/s.

Question:

Is the only way to get cable through your box a passthrough hdmi setup from th cable box or will there be a cable provider app we can use? If so which carriers.

Going all digital out of the box. Ill grab KI first as it will be the smallest then DR then F5. Hoping it goes fast.


On PS4 I bought Killzone on disc being I didnt trust Sonys severs and I'm glad I did. Need for Speed toke 8 hrs before I could play

Good question...I have fios and Im wondering if I even need a cable box or will i be able to watch tv straight from a hard line straight to the box.

Also is there a way i can DL my games and digital sign them in....or has that been totally cut based on the 180 BS. I love the idea of not getting off my ass and switching in and out of games.

If you have fios TV and Internet, you can watch TV via the fios app only if your connected to the fios modem in your home.

I just checked one guy's stream and his COD install was queuing his FIFA download :s, then head over to some forums and people reporting the same thing, not trying to stir shit up but these conflicting reports are doing me in. Good to hear it worked nice for you though.

Ok, one last question regarding this surround sound issue. What's going on here ? Does the Xbox fail to pass surround sound audio if it passes through a receiver?

It's a BETA option you will have to enable when you get your Xbox One, it's still a BETA option because they noticed a few bugs with certain equipment that will be fixed.

Can somebody explain this whole surround sound fiasco to me in layman's turns? I have an Astro A40 w/Mixamp at home, what changes from the 360 to the One?

Sooo looks like I may be doing a little camping out after all. Mine is still coming, but apparently my buddy changed his main email about a month ago and that apparently canceled his preorder from June. Support said they couldn't do anything and the only place getting extras in our small city is WalMart and they're only getting 8.

Is this a joke you honestly think most Xbox One owners won't have gold?

You can expect 100% of Xbox One owners that go online to have gold at launch.

I thought it wad comfirmed that all Xbox Ones came with a 14 day trail and each game has like 2 days each?

Most likely basing that off some current 360 percentage of owners with Gold. Completely ignoring the fact that the very people who would be buying a new console in the first year or two are the very same people that would never go without Gold or PS+. Failed logic to backup his originally bad premise.
