But i do hope microsoft and sony stay on x86 for backward or forward compatibility.

Some publishers might feel that way, but they aren't the ones footing the multi-billion dollar bills for R&D and advertising on each new console. Though they have expenses associated with new generations as well, they're glad to pay them when we're 6-7 years into a generation and people aren't excited about buying their games any more.

Someone pointed it out before, but Ubi wants a short cycle but delays their games. Wouldn't they like to have mature tools on a platform to milk it rather than constantly crunch out an engine for a new platform constantly?

Sure. It's just that we reached a point in 2012-13 where game sales slowed tremendously. It wasn't until around GTAV that things started looking up again.

It's giving me errors for almost anything I do and last night it was fine. Live is shitting itself.

This is how it's been for a while. It's just intensified lately. The next few days will be even rougher, as they pick apart every little mishap.

Still another 6 1/2 hours before even the east coast gets its hands on it. A few shipped early, but that's it.

My X1 shipped from the Amazon warehouse 2 hours from my house at 4pm(eastern). Won't be here till tomorrow afternoon though...LOL.

Still waiting on my F5 LE to ship...what is up with that Amazon, come on!

Depends if the next cycle means we get faster CPU and GPU on x86 then porting cpu code should not take that long. For the GPU im not sure with esram but i figure a stronger gpu and faster memory would make esram obsolete with next next gen.

Which is hilarious. You can love Knack but you can't like Ryse without being a shill, despite Ryse getting (marginally) better reviews.

Basically they're both on par and considered a little boring, but people are acting like Ryse is on par with big rigs or something.

Honestly I swear some folk are far too determined to try to clamp down on any enjoyment. I love this place but reading some posts could make you miserable about a hobby you enjoy if you took it to heart

I started out trying to figure out which one of these I wanted, but I want all of them.

I actually had a look on ebay. People are already selling grips/skins for the controllers but they look a bit crappy for now.
