Yep. I was going to buy DR3 and Ryse, but I might let Ryse go for when it goes free.
Well, I'm definitely getting Forza, if anything!

I just want Dead Rising. First thing I'll do is enable that clock. Hopefully I'll find a mannequin at the beginning that for some unknown reason is the best weapon you can have when starting out. Or boxing gloves with knives. And I want to be able to drag 15 people with me to fight a boss who was evilly placed in a bathroom.

Those new achievements pics sure look nice, but I think I prefer the small icon-like ones. I loved seeing the creative designs devs would come up for their achievement icons.
I really wanted to play this console day one. Too bad that in Brazil pre-ordering works a little different (I pre ordered the console a few months ago, and despite already having to pay for it, it will only be shipped on the 22nd, when it was supposed to arrive that day)...
So, i'll probably have to wait an extra week or so compared to everyone else

Have the X1D1 all set for Best Buy in store pickup. Forza LE coming from Amazon. I may need to get something else for the overnight hours to play until Amazon shows up at 2PM.
As for the free games program mentioned earlier, They inevitably have to be of a better value this time around. The games they gave away for free were all ones you could find pretty cheap elsewhere at the time of the giveaway.

Really? Really? No need to stoop to that level. Getting only an Xbox One here, but I'm not happy that there are hardware issues for the PS4. No need to stoop to that level even though a lot of people acted that way towards the Xbox

I believe in the past months Microsoft had some trouble trying to convince some consumers as to why should they get the Xbox One. The implementation of DRM was something that even after they removed that, may haunt them for quite some time. To me, I still believe that what really matters in the end are games. All of them, exclusives or not and most important: never forget to have fun with them, because that's the point of playing a videogame. As we have seen lately there have been some really "consoles wars" on GAF and in my more places (but I only care for GAF and it's GAFfers).
I think that, we all should focus on keeping a polite, mature and proper discussion in here. It's great when we all have fun, no matter the platform. I owned but 360+Kinect and PS3 this current gen and it was amazing. Great times are coming for both Sony and Microsoft, yet I feel that we, as gamers, consumers and forum members should also do our part to keep this place the best place to be to talk and discuss what we like the most: games & the gaming industry. I hope we can manage to achieve that friendly community in here without judging other's tastes based on games or consoles preferences, or mock because one can't afford all games or all consoles and so on. By doing this we will have our fun and the mods can rest for a bit on the banning members too. Everybody can win in here.
As to myself I can't get the Xbox One right now. Even if the consoles won't be releasing in here, there's a local console that will get some units and I could order from Amazon.uk but having too much obligations (health and others) and less disposable income forced me to skip Xbox One for a good time. As a huge Forza fan, seeing that Limited Edition with the Steelbook sure is hard to pass. But that's not the worst, what I'm really going to miss is the amazing and friendly FORZA-GAF Community which always have been unique not to forget that they create amazing paint jobs on cars. That game is going to be truly missed but bills & health comes first, right?
To all those getting the Xbox One Day one I hope you can have a wonderful time. It's great to be here with you all sharing and discussing a new generation of consoles from Microsoft and Sony. I hope you all can have great fun with the games and I wish you the best for having a unit without hardware or software issues since it's something we are all scared about on launch day. I will be waiting for impressions, checking those nice pick-up posts and keep a look on the "Show your gaming setup" thread too so I can keep gathering inspiration from a clean minimalist look on my place. Have fun y'all, I'll be around checking those impressions with this fine Community filled by many great fellow GAFfers!

Hey, I habe been getting abuse for buying Xbox1 since the summer from my co workers. Germany = 80% Sony Land.
MS had to give FIFA 14 away for free so they could at least move some units.
I am happy with my choice. Ps4 does (in my opinion) suck right now and has no game 4 real. Knack and KZSF are not games for me.
Hopefully you won't be around when Titanfall drops.
We really don't need posters like yourself bringing down GAF with immature fanboy bs.
Are the screens actual grabs when you achieve them? Or generic pictures attached to the achievement by the dev. If it was the former that would be really cool.

I think the play button is just to start the game. Although the new achievements look great, I wonder if they will still have the classic style icons so you can track them on xbox.com. Also, can people on 360 see your One games played and achievements?

Both machines are looking decent, and both will have great exclusives. You might think the xbox line-up looks better right now, but most preview reports of Ryse are less than glowing and the jury is out on DR3 until people get proper hands on.
Titanfall is going to be neat, but it's also on pc. It's also not the only game in the existence of everything.
Think you should dial back on the banboi, bro.

I have a pair of xp510's and really that's the only thing that sucks. I have to wait for an adapter to use them properly.
Luckily the kinect has a built in mic so I can still use the headphone portion and talk through kinect if needed. Hopefully it works well

I use the X12's currently on the 360 and love them so I will definitely be grabbing a new pair when they become available. It is just a pity that they got delayed into 2014 so they can ship with that adapter that MS is working on.
