yea im not gonna be getting an xbox one, im going ps4 for the very foreseeable future, but the launch games for xbox are way more interesting to me than ps4. oh well.

This is not true. On Xbox One you can change as much as you want. This only applies to the 360 and the XLA locale that you set when you created the profile back on Xbox or Xbox 360. There you can only migrate your account every 3 months.
Blech. The PS4 UI is one of the dumbest I've ever seen. Just a long ass bar of everything you play or watch. How they thought that was a good idea is a mystery, but it better change in a firmware update soon. Controller is preference obviously, but DS4 has been pretty disappointing to me. Bad triggers and bad analogs. Brilliants dpad though.

I can't tell if turning the Xbox Off via the controller (hold Xbox Button, console off) sends it to standby or fully turns it off... I want Forza to download damn it!

Wait a minute.... I just finished strolling through my tweets. What the hell was revealed during Spike TV's coverage of Xbox One? I thought my timeline would've been clustered with new games and trailers, but all I got was, "Titanfall to be shown at VGX" (surprise, surprise?) MGSV has exclusive content (which will probably be really stupid and insignificant) and FOUR seconds of Quantum Break.

LOL yeah nice try. The pad is fantastic. The only thing that many have complained about are the bumpers. I don't like them either but the Dpad is fantastic as well as the rumble triggers.

As long as you enable the low power state through the settings, it will download in the background. However I think by default its set to actually turn off.

Yeah I feel the same way, maybe with time it will be better but i feel I have to change position of my hand to go from trigger to bumper. Maybe it's just me and my small hands lol.
Loving this console, installing games as I watch tv or chat with friends. Then when its done jumping into the game right away.
Simple stuff but doing it all at once is fun.

Wondering where all those online/network problems are that FM and Thuway said were going to mar the XB1 experience for "months" after release. I'm watching streams of guys playing online CoD in parties, Killer Instinct, Forza etc. Only game that crashed was Battlefield 4, but that's because it's BF4 and that's what it does on every platform. Very impressed with what I'm seeing so far. Only complaint really is that load times in some of the games are horrible.
Change your power settings to instant on in the settings menu?
That and the CBOAT stuff was bullshit attention seeking.

I don't listen to rumours. I play the games and if there is a problem then I will worry. No point worrying about rumours that may never surface.
The bumpers are definitely awful and the sticks are far too loose but not sure about the rest.
so how were the lines? did anyone take pictures?
weather was awful here so Im not sure how many people would brave the snow especially with limited stock. then again people simply drive their cars onto the sidewalk, wait inside and masturbate so who knows.
sticks aren't bad. they feel closer to Nintendo sticks which ive never had a problem with. its easier to make fine movements with them but I understand why people like tighter sticks.

Word. The only thing I was worried about was Microsoft's cloud going offline at launch. And, I mean, that happened -- but thankfully it was fixed within an hour.

Console is super silent and sleek. Controller is goddamn sexy! I'm downloading the update, 33% with my slow ass internet, not bad.
Haven't picked up my games yet, so I downloaded KI. 3.5 gig I think? Went by quick. Figured I'd be waiting a half hour like on my 360. Anyway, the game is ok, but WTF is up with the load times?
Also, the load screen of the Xbox itself freaked me out. I thought the thing froze on first boot. Who's idea was it to have a static screen for 40 seconds??

Will Kinect Sports Rivals not start for anyone else? I downloaded it, load it up and it is at the start screen. I try hitting Start and the A button. Nothing. Tried waving my hand around to get a Kinect cursor. Nothing.

So Killer Instinct is fantastic. So damn satisfying to pull of dem combos.
Dead Rising 3 I'm a little lukewarm on. Gameplay wise it doesn't really do anything new. It's good enough though.

Played some KI and got DR3 installed for tomorrow. Love the TV integration. Being able to bounce from ESPN to youtube instantly to watch something then right back is amazing. I think the controller feels great. Didn't even have to sync it initially for it to work which was pretty cool. Can't wait to dig into the system more tomorrow.
Feature I'm already requesting as I have my Xbox One in my room, is an alarm clock that allows you to set it to turn on and either go to a specific channel or start a playlist on Xbox Music.
