Best launch game.
RSC 2 was the best racing game on OX, I really hope PG is working on RSC 3 instead of Forza Horizon 2.

I just came back from Best Buy to pick up a game and saw both the PS4 and the X1 and I was already expecting to see the PS4 blow away the X1 "console look wise" to my very big surprise, my wife and I were actually digging the X1 more. Maybe because the PS4 was set horizontal. The PS4 looks very sexy vertically for what I could see in the Internetz.
The PS4 was nice but actually not as eye catching as the X1. In fact some other couples were saying the same.
I have to tell you. The pictures and videos don't give justice to the sexyness the X1 has.
Also I was able to compare side by side graphics and both console looked pretty much the same. I could not tell a difference. Both performed graphically the same at least from my point of view.
Yes, they did look like a leap from last generation but nothing mind blowing.
My kids liked the Knack game in the PS4 and the AC4 game in the X1.
Win Win for everybody really.

I also picked up the charging kit for $25

That was a key title in the 360 launch IMO. I was thinking if Resogun was going to be the Geometry Wars of this gen, but I don't think it comes close at all.

Anyway I was actually expecting an ugly cable box. Was I surprised.
It's large but it looks really nice. I think Microsoft nailed it and the transparent aluminum logo that lights up looks great. I think going with a white logo rather than green was really smart.
Also, it's only a $5.03 difference, but Best Buy will price match Walmart down to $19.96 on that play and charge kit you bought.

Just bought an Xbox One controller from BestBuy, fucking love it. Fast question, does the standard controller (not the Play and Charge controller) not include a cable so you can make it a "wired" controller.
Any micro USB cable will work.

I think the Xbox One is looking nicer and higher quality in general now that we are getting better looks at the stuff. Especially on the UI and controller front. Hell, even the system seemingly being built like a damn tank has also grown on me. Hopefully that will bode well for the build quality.
Ha, I remember unwrapping my xbox 2 weeks before christmas (unnoticed, ninja skills) and playing Mad Dash Racing at 1am ...
I think I was the only person to like that game.

Fucking amazing. The controller feels so top notch and high quality, my one complaint with the DualShock 4, the controller (especially the rubber on the sticks) feels cheap. Glad the Xbox One controller feels nice.

Surprising. It was amazing as a VS game. At the laser tag place my friends and I frequented in our teens, it was either Area 51, Killer Instinct 2, or Windjammers.
Nothing happened for me.
I think it is call of duty ghosts, but I may be wrong.
Shame, did you have a 360 controller hooked up before?
