If it did not pause every 2 seconds before you execute the enemy and break up the flow, I would consider this game but I hate that mechanic so much.

The qt's are optional i think. So avoid them if you don't want to break up the flow.

I'll say this about Ryse. It looks incredible and some of the gameplay I've seen lately has me intrigued. Reviews will decide for me either way if I go for it at launch or AC. I know it's gone through some development hell, but again it is a stunning showing for next gen right out the gate.

hmm, personally I really dont give a shit how it will review...
some may cut points from it for its old school battle system, some others might give it proper (good) marks for what it is.
on production values and polish, it will get full marks and probably remain a benchmark for some time...

no matter what metacritic say, I know i will be playing it thoroughly.

Are any of the special editions worth it. The guy I'm ordering with can get them but I don't know if its worth paying extra for. Oddly enough the Battlefield 4 Limited Edition is the same price so I might as well get that.

The others were Call of Duty: Ghosts - Hardened Edition & Assassins Creed 4 - Special Edition.

I don't think I'd really be too bothered it it's just some piece of DLC.

Oh yea he also said he has the Day One editions of Ryse, Dead Rising and Forza available now so I'm going to see if he will sell those to me today.

Yeah, the pretty graphics deceive me into thinking it'll score high, looks like reviewers are past that now. Gameplay doesn't look broken at least ... by the looks of it it won't deserve sub 6's.

I really wish they'd gone Dark Souls on Ryse. I know that would off pissed of 90% of people who bought the game as it'd be too punishing. The scores would have been much higher though, maybe the higher difficulties require more counters / dodging.

Highest difficulty is said to be brutal. I think they compared it to gears of war during the twitch stream.
