Didn't ntknrl already say this? Also, how wrong has CBOAT been lately? I simply don't see Microsoft ditching the device this quickly. The XB1 is pretty darn successful given the limited markets it's available in and I think the Kinect is a big draw for casuals.

As he said, it all depends on how it's selling once summer starts approaching. If Titanfall does cause it to pick up numbers, then they'll probably put off the price drop until they need another boost.

A. Most people don't care if a machine is weaker than the other, I doubt many people even know they have different hardware (god bless casuals /s).

B. It's not big enough to make people freak out.

that sucks for us early adopters though but I don't want X1 to fail but improve. OBv hardware cant improve.

The shame thing is that developers will stop using the Kinect and thus making MS reason for worse hardware null and thus shows they rushed too much.

Again, I enjoy my X1 just a little disappointed. Guess well see how X1 does when titanfall and later games help it

They absolutely have to. No one cares about it. It's never going to be something that entices people to spend $100 more than a PS4. Never. The tech alone probably costs at least that so they can't cut the price of the system effectively and continue to include it. They've gotta go optional ASAP. Should have happened at launch.

How will this change the power differential between the two consoles? I mean you're paying the same price for a significantly weaker console without any defining characteristic. They would only be matching the competitors price not beating it. It leaves ample room for Sony to offer their own price cut or bundled game.
