Xbox showcase July 23rd

This is the most excited i've been in ages. Other than leaks of what is being made even if true, we've had virtually no leaks of anything. Some tidbits of info about Fable maybe being made, we know stuff about Halo but nothing much relating to the actual game, what does the new Forza look like? what are the new studios doing!?

I just can't wait for the surprises they'll have. It's the "big" reveal moment and i hope they deliver the fuck out of it.

Ok, i need to chill out now.

Ctfuuu get help son. It's a game premier not a rocket launch. Literally none of what you said...means anything what are you disagreeing about? You want them to hold something back? Say so.
 
I'm probably in the minority where id rather see a trailer of a new game than nothing at all. Trailers usually give a sense of the game direction or relevant clues.

Even though we have an idea of pretty much everything that will be shown, I have a feeling the gory details will actually leak.
I just heard another crazy rumor floating around and I don't want hear any more.

I'm going dark until thursday morning.

Nice, thats what i was hoping for. Get a lot of the smaller stuff out of the way in the preshow, and save the main show for some big guns.
 
Kinda nice to know that when i wake up tomorrow morning (Friday) and get ready for work, the Xbox conference would have ended and i'll have the whole day to check out the show in full fat 4K.

Yeah I hope the stream is a bit better quality, last one was poo. Most of them have been in fairness, not to give the bastards any ideas but I wish I could pay a few pounds to get better quality via priority or the like. Even the 1080p direct feed trailers are a lot better than the 1080p stream, the 4K one are glorious, as you said. *hand gestures*
 
Remember Greenberg said this is ONLY ABOUT GAMES. No acquisition announcements, no Xbox series S announcement, no pricing announcements (no "business" announcements). Set your expectations accordingly.

True but that means i have to get up at 4am New Zealand time to watch it and i'm working tomorrow as well.

I dunno man, i've been so hyped for these things before that it can become impossible to sleep. Then again its Friday tomorrow and usually Fridays the office is dead because people work from home.

EDIT: Yeah fuckit, i'm watching this LIVE tomorrow morning lol. Lets GO XBOX !!!!!!!

And here I am polar opposite, I'm done with Xbox. I've made up my mind to go PS5 only next gen. I don't even care the price or release date.

Same here. Between the loud PS4 Pro, lack of full compatibility for PS4 games at launch, and no Xbox Rewards, I am only going Xbox at launch.
 
So, I'm hoping they have some first-year games to show, and its not going to be a trailer fest with lots of new IP that's going to be coming in 2022-2023, only for half of it to be quietly canceled in development.

If we get some actual new playable ip, and its not far off, I'll be happy.

So they will show a ton of games and many will complain that there are no games for Xbox. Expectations set.

I'm more interested in how many games are actually far along in their development cycle. If they show lots of cg or "captured on representative hardware" trailers of games that are far-off or don't give dates, that's a yikes from me.
 
I'm tuning in tonight just so I have context for the console warring that will ensue afterwards. Rinse and repeat next month.
 
Cant wait to see whats new , forza and some others maybe new ip's. Im for games not hardware so no matter platform, but because they all will run on windows i will be using pc for them all. Unless pc specs will jump so high that i cant run them anymore. Then it will be new decision.
 
I can see my mute button getting a lot of use with this pre-show. Everytime one of those YouTube muppets comes on, it will be SOUND OFF.

Actually, are you really comparing adding an european country language with the absence of a language used in an autonomous community in other european country while the official language for this country has been already included?
