Xbox World 360 asks: "What game is this?"

And:

It's a stupid business decision imo.
Pretty weird for a man that got Nintendo back on it's feet. Or is Nintendo getting cocky again... HMmmmmM

So much for Nintendo being "the good guys".

I defended Nintendo's rationale in not allowing GoldenEye to be put on XBLA before, but now I just can't do that. If they have no legal right to block the game, AND Rare was going to port it to Wii as well AND release all of their back catalog on VC, WTF IS NINTENDO THINKING?! Iwata needs to think about this: if HALO FREAKING THREE could only push the 360 sales above Wii sales for the month in which it was released, how is allowing GoldenEye--a DECADE-OLD GAME--to be released on BOTH systems going to harm Nintendo?

What's more, shouldn't Nintendo be more worried about GoldenEye appearing on XBLA without appearing on VC and the loss of those Rare titles on VC than in trying to threaten Activision into submission? This is just ridiculous to me.

So it's the same story that was told by that guy who made it all public. Still sounds fishy. Why wouldn't have Nintendo any right to deny a release? Why would Iwata be so upset about it when he didn't care about leaving Rare behind?

If Nintendo had the right to deny release then they'd also have the right to release it themselves along with the rest of Rare's back catalogue. And if that was true then we'd have seen Rare titles on VC by now.

Evidently Iwata cared more than he wanted to admit.

WOW! I hope Xbox World's info can be either verified or discredited by another source. If what they're reporting is indeed true, it will certainly effect any future purchases I might make from the Nintendo camp.

Looking out for the best interests of your company is one thing, but penalizing all parties involved out of sheer stupidity is something I won't support.

They pulled the story from a poster at Penny Arcade forums, and it reads like total bullshit.

Either way, there's around 25 screens in the magazine.

They also show this image in the mag, supposedly during the title screen (not a scan, recreated in Paint):

Think it looks good? Wait until you see the rest of the shots... including one great little joke on the title screen.

Such a stupid move by Ninty. They could have had all Rare classics on the VC and a Goldeneye but they shut everything down. Doesn't make sense to me.
