I believe Final Fantasy is pre-installed on the HDD.

Pedigree Chum said:PGR3 doesn't use AA, it runs at 600p and it doesn't even have AF (no X360 titles do ATM). Inexcusable.
Last Hope said:MS is horrible at keeping comittments. Absolutely the worst.
All games rendered at 1280x720? No.
All games will be required to use FSAA? No.
All games except MMO games can be played without the hard drive? No.
These are the three that stick out for me.
beermonkey@tehbias said:I dunno who's pwned, since nobody said it never happened. I just wanted to see the specifics.
Note that he didn't say there never would be such a game. Should he have shut his mouth? You bet. But all along we've all known that there would be at least MMO at some point that would require HDD. Mock outrage is disingenous.
This question has been posed a bunch of times already. The big deal is that MS decieved those who trusted them when they said that all games would be playable without the HDD (sans MMOs). Allards quote sums up what the big deal is.Mrbob said:What is the big deal?

I thought region coding was up to the developer? If so, I hope this isn't because I want to try this also. Anybody know how many PAL games are region-free?lachesis said:Actually, I wan that game. I never played FM series before... and I wouldn't mind playing it on my 360.
I just wish there was no region coding - if they are NOT bringing some game over to some other region for almost certain - they should make the game region free.![]()
I have to wonder what all that data is used for...if it's really necessary or the files are large because of lazy programming. I mean, think all the information PS1 RPGs managed to fit into 8 kilobyte save files!

It's not "criminal ZOMG!", but it is a basic bait and switch. (from MS? no!)
Mrbob said:Well, is the game playable without the hdd?
Probably.
But it won't be savable without the hdd.
So Allard skates by on a technicality!![]()

"Its not surprising though, just another X360-ism. How popular is the game?"
Yup, it's the "real" CM since Sports Interactive lost the CM license.
And popular doesn't quite cut-it, god-in-a-game for those that care about it, a veritable life-stealer of a spreadsheet of a game.
I know a few people for whom CM is the only game they play, or have ever played.

Supporting them or the fact they were missing from the game?
Although I have to admit I always loved Anco's Player Manager on the Amiga more, Just the right amount of management depth (i.e. Lite) with all the glory of Dino Dini's Kick Off! in one package, sheer gaming heaven.
Haha, old fights, KO vs SS, c64 vs Speccy, Amiga vs Atari, Snes vs Megadrive, how times have changed now we've all grown up![]()

I've probably mentioned this before, but my Uncle, and his epileptic friend were responsible for over 75% of the Dragon 32's game catalog, Dragon were so self-conscious of this that they had to make up MANY pseudonyms for them, but they could knock a title out a day between them

I really, really, really want 360 to be a strong competitor to the PS3, but I'm really starting to get worried. They had better drop the Core pack this year. The lessened losses they get from charging a hundred bucks for a 20gig hard drive is going to kill them in the long run.

And if you're referring to the PS2 version of FFXI, the required attachment came with the game. Pretty bad examples.

"Because we wanted to give Xbox 360 users a superior game experience with the same richness and tactical depth that Football Manager has traditionally offered, we asked Microsoft whether we could develop Football Manager 2006 to be a Hard Drive only game. Microsoft agreed as they wanted the best possible game for their console, and with Xbox Live multiplayer being incorporated into the title, we now have a complete Football Manager experience for console gamers, the first time in the franchise's history." Still doesn't tell us WHY it is required...
