Not really threadworthy, but very cool nevertheless: Solomon confirms on Twitter that you'll be able to see what enemies will be in view while selecting a tile to move to.
60$ US games are now 80$ Canadian, which is depressing, despite the fact that's the exchange rate now, more or less. The 10% markup on most of Steam's CDN prices seems so quaint in comparison.Holy shit. $80 Canadian. Most expensive regular edition game on steam, from what I've seen.
How much is it for US customers?

So uh... Why is this happening? Why aren't Steam prices in AUD yet? Pubs are having a fucking laugh if they think this is reasonable pricing.

Wait, why is it showing up as 90 USD to you? It's only 60 on my end.

Not for retail.but we get refunds now lurkersabound
Yeah it sucks. These days I avoid buying off Steam now, because at least paying with CDN dollars means I don't get destroyed paying conversion fees on my CC. Hell, the 30-50% discount coupons on GMG just barely cover going from CAD to USD, and you're just left with a crappy discount.Considering Aussie dollars are 1:1 with Canadians, the situation is also dire in our arse end of the world.
Precisely why I never buy games locally these days.
and I'm guessing the chances of a GOG release are low for non-mrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrican buyers?

$90 US dollars for us Aussies??
Get the hell outta here
Isn't there some crazy tariff on vidoe games in Australia?

Nope. Just the standard Australia Tax that places impose because we're Australia.
No. People may refer to an 'Australia Tax' but it's meant as a tongue in cheek statement against the extortionate prices publishers inflict upon us.

I don't like this change. You don't know exactly what you'll see from a position until you move there.. Yes LOS is wonky in XCOM but fixing LOS bugs would have been more preferrable to this pseudo-cheating IMO.
Still pissed over that price. Pah!
It's for the best because LOS doesn't always work the way you might think. For example, an angular wall or second-level obstruction can interact with your target differently than you'd think. It's no more cheating than having the cover shown where you move, or the percentages + breakdown shown for hit chance. It's a critical part of strategic info that's good to have.
And I'm saying they should have fixed the way LOS works rather than offer a pseudo-cheat as a solution around an obvious problem..
Also, the regional pricing of this game is totally bonkers, the regional price where I live equates to around 72 USD. What in the fuck is this, I'll never buy it at this price however much I may want it. Firaxis is shooting themselves in the foot with
Complete Edition at next year's Christmas Steam Sale it is then.

I would assume that it only works for enemies that you already see.

Oh... I thought this was assumed to be the case.
Hrm.
I'm guessing Van Doorn.Customize your squad of resistance fighters with bonus outfits, headgear, and custom facial war paint. Instantly unlock a survivor of the old war as a recruit in your barracks.
By the way, has it been mentioned that the Steam page for XCOM 2 has a "Resistance Warrior Pack" if you pre-order?
:S
I'm guessing Van Doorn.
Nuuvem has XCOM 2 available for pre-order for ~20
Is that worldwide, or region locked? VPN necessary? (I hate that stuff)

I really hope that XCOM 2 avoids having a tide of bad DLC.
Stupid question, I'm building a PC... a GTX 960 should be able to handle this no problem right? At 1080p.

Should be totally fine. EU ran like a dream on a 560 Ti 448 Core (a cut down 570), so the 960, which is better than the 570, shouldn't have any problems.Stupid question, I'm building a PC... a GTX 960 should be able to handle this no problem right? At 1080p.

I got an email from GMG that their 23% voucher will work on XCOM2. Decisions, decisions...
