Eh, I can agree with the PSO2 comparisons, at least for the character models/faces. Something about them just rubs me the wrong way. Everything else is still way good looking. Like... way good looking.

The game being streamed looks exactly the same as the reveals, straight down to being able to spot specific monsters and landmarks. They were just well-composited trailers and now we're getting an unfiltered look at the game, which, shock and amazement, does show a wrinkle or two. It still looks amazing.
They look like dolls. It's always been a little creepy.

Just tuned in for that battle against those 3 armored dinosaur looking things. Oh god, the battle system looks similar to Xenoblade but with guns, and the scenery and enemies remind me of the Halo universe. It's like a Halo-Xenoblade hybrid baby. Oh god, I am getting so excited. Please please please Monolith, let this game deliver. It certainly looks like it will. I am frothing at the mouth just thinking about another experience like Xenoblade.

And this is just a taste. I'm from the future, and I've come back just to tell you all that this is the greatest game of all time. The character designs only change a little between now and the game's release, but that's just to help you know who to put on your GAF ignore list after it comes out.
(Please be as good as I'm hoping...)

That was beautiful, and I'm laughing at the "downgraded" comments now (well, I was earlier, too). Nothing about that world looks downgraded to me. I know the character models aren't everyone's cup of tea, but it doesn't bother me. I can't wait to dive into that game. I'm sad it isn't a 2014 release anymore... Hopefully early 2015!

Well you can dash now, so moving around will be a lot faster.
This is probably just the equivalent of Colony 9 or, at most, Bionis' Leg, I'd guess.

Excellent game. It seems like the class system will mean some extra customization with character progression. I can't wait for us to get even more information. Hopefully Takahashi will release new stuff soon.

Caught the last couple minutes of the showcase @NintendoTree. Hopefully someone did record the footage (who am I kidding, of course someone did). Just from the Neo LA and the scale shown, I take back any disappointment I expressed. That couple minutes showed me the error of my ways lol. Game is gonna be good.

Nintendo Treehouse Live is the best thing that happened to Nintendo's E3 ever. Not even overreacting here. We NEVER would have gotten a look this indepth into a game before. MMaybe some 10 minute videos from press outlets and the usual hand ons.

From the original trailer, the character faces never looked great.
The reactions in this thread were bound to happen. I pointed out in the initial thread how horrible this looked and people insisted it was a place holder...... that they chose to show in the initial reveal trailer.
I knew that the first story trailer would have people freaking out once they saw the mannequin faces up close and personal.
