So any good quality footage of the Treehouse demo, all that's available are the 480p versions.

I'm about to finish a desktop recording of the 720p footage for personal posterity. It won't be the absolute best quality, but I could try uploading it if you want it.

I'm so happy, leveling during battles makes endless boss runs viable rather than having to grind elsewhere and come back.

Auto-jump over small obstacles more AI control. So many little things I'm noticing to improve user experience.

Xenoblade had the best flow to how traversal and combat linked together, and this seeks to improve that. Monolith...thank you....

I wish they would of showed more of the character creator.

And I hope the relationship system from Xenoblade is back, and more expansive.

Looks like Xenoblade Chronicles X will save the Wii U.

Hah, noticed the cute Monado hairclips on that one dark haired female character, nice little callback for Xenoblade fans :-p

Eh, I feel different about that. I liked not having previously heard or been familiar with any of the voices/voice actors in Xenoblade and I thought they sounded great. I guess it would depend on who they cast.

I just hope 8-4 LTD doesn't touch this game. I'd like Treehouse to localize the game themselves or have the same group that did Xenoblade do this game.

Who did Xenoblade? I'm not familiar with much of 8-4 LTD's work except for Xenosaga III and Fire Emblem. I can't remember having any problems with those two, so I wasn't aware of their reputation. Although, I do agree that Treehouse is probably the best localization team out there.

The game takes place in the United States in Neo Los Angeles, I think it would be weird if every character had a British voice. The other games didn't matter since they didn't have a real world area. :/

Just no Johnny Yong Bosch or Vic Mignogna.

Neo Los Angeles is enclosed in a capsule and was shot into space in order to terraform a new planet. It's just one town. I'm willing to bet there will be many others that come from different parts of the world. How great would it be to have each area represented by their own accent or even their own language with subtitles? A Neo London, Neo Tokyo, etc.?

I am buying this game.

Oh, and a Wii U, I suppose.

Oh, and I'm starting a new playthrough of Xenoblade tomorrow.

I bought one not long after the first trailer for this game was released. :)
There were other games I wanted to play at the time though. I'm not crazy. Really.

Still hyped but I'm disappointed by how that girls eyes looked weird to me. I like anime characters and 3D anime characters a lot, as long as its done well... but those eyes looked very doll-like and off-putting. I have trouble imagining being invested in the characters from seeing that.

Sorry to be a buzz kill, I don't want to sound so negative when the rest of it looks amazing!

I'm not even sure why people are screaming "downgraded". The trailer didn't show any landscapes at all. People are weird.

Oh wow didn't notice, that's awesome! Good catch.

And to add to my remarks about a game's impression being the most important thing, one person may choose to nitpick about things like the resolution of certain textures, or they can let themselves be charmed by those little touches such as knowing the creators thought to add Monado hair clips :-p

That would definitely be great.

Shadowplay split the footage into two parts, so I'm working on getting them joined together and trying to shrink the filesize without compromising the general quality. I'll post a link once it's done and uploaded.

^I like this comment.

it looks like Xenoblade in HD

not sure what people were expecting.

Exactly. And if people here actually played Xenoblade, they would have realized that it had pretty terrible graphics at times, except for how cool some of the world design was. Looks like Xenoblade X is doing the same thing, except with WiiU power.

Were people expecting X1/PS4 level graphics?

Anyway, wearealreadydead.jpg. I was actually happy to see that this game focuses more on Sci-fi. I also want more story cut-scenes and character development than Xenoblade.

Can't wait to play it. The space-battle vibe it has is cool.

I saw Kizuna (the bond system) show up in the demos. Hopefully someone who can read Japanese does a summary of the demo.

I really hope they go with the Europe voice overs like they did with Xenoblade. It really made the game for me to not hear NA accent.

Character models look like they were ripped straight out of PSO2. AKA: Mostly horrible.

I wonder if choosing our voice means the protag will be silent. I haven't really kept up with the game, but this is still supposed to be a story heavy game like the first right? I know there's some sort of multiplayer component to it as well.

Looks great, but awfully... brown.

Hopefully there will be areas as colorful, as 'alive', as the original game.

That's my biggest complaint. From the first time I saw this game I thought it looked way too brown. Hope there's a lot of variety in environments like Xenoblade.

Really dont like how muted all the colours are.

They're supposed to be muted. This is isn't going for a vibrant high-fantasy aesthetic like Xenoblade; they're going for an earthy, grounded sci-fi look. Secondly, the area is called "Primordial Wilderness". The color palette is very subdued here as to convey a, well, primordial atmosphere (there's also all that fog/mist that adds to that atmosphere).
