Xenoblade X (Cross) releasing in 2015 (Xenoblade Chronicles X in the US)

I'm hoping there's like a split second right before a new day starts, right before 00:00 called RE:YN that makes you do a 99,999 damage hit if you time it right just because.

Yeah, I think the healing comment just applied to what was available in the demo. What kind of JRPG doesn't allow or controlled healing? Think of how unepic the boss fights would be.
 
This game looks great. I LOVE Xenoblade, which stands as my favorite 3D RPG of all time, and Monolith Soft is taking this exactly where I wanted them too.

There is healing.
You get healing arts. But they only work on yourself.
Which is good. That way you don't need a dedicated healer like in Xenoblade (of which, only Sharla was any good at it).

Probably because the core gameplay is very similar and calling it Xenoblade makes it easier to advertise.

Because of the B.L.A.D.E. system.
And because it's easier to sell it as a Xenoblade game since that is a known franchise.

also not liking the name here...actually not a big fan of the word "chronicles" for some reason...imo they should have gone with xenoblade II for all regions and avoided adding confusion of mixing X (cross) with X (ten) and also I don't see the point in having a different subtitle for different regions for a title like "xenoblade" which is universally pretty cool on its own

I think "Chronicles" could have been dropped, but I don't think it should have been called Xenoblade 2. That would imply it's a direct sequel and you would need to play the Wii game to understand it, rather than it being a spiritual successor.

EDIT: Treehouse confirmed it's a spiritual successor and not a direct sequel to Xenoblade.

a lot of people are calling it Xenocross maybe it will catch on, Nintendo is watching :P

meh I'll deal with it but it seems like someone is playing it safe because Xenoblade had a cult following

Anyway from the trailers they released and the Treehouse gameplay I am wondering why is the tower number at NeoLA a countdown? 60 at the start of the game but in the 50s during a huge monster attack
 
Xenoblade Chronicles X has some serious potential; however, I sincerely hope they touch-up the character models - they were mildly disappointing.

It's still a day 1 purchase for me.

I see what you're saying, but as the poster above said even for FF they did it and no one seemed to mind (actually I'm taking his word for it since I haven't played them)
If not II I'd probably vote for Infinite since it looks so huge...anything but chronicles !
oh and some of the faces...especially Elma...not a fan of that style at all

I think they are wanting to play off the fact that Xenoblade is now an established name associated with a beloved game. Besides, Tales and Final Fantasy present new worlds and stories from iteration to iteration while keeping some common elements (gameplay, nopon).

I'm not saying it should or shouldn't be Xenoblade, but I don't think it's a big enough deal to complain. The only problem I have is that X is at the end which makes me worry that some people will mistaken it for some director's cut or re-release version of the original Xenoblade.

The character models aren't great, need some texture work and overall improvements, especially dat hair. I mean, Lara Craft got better hair and she on PS3 :P

It's a work in progress though, some improvements are bound to be made though; hence the delay into 2015.

Why is each Final Fantasy game called Final Fantasy when they have nothing to do with the previous game? Xenoblade is just the name of Takahashi's new franchise. Get over it.

I can see what they are trying to go for with ELMA but Urd from Oh My Goddess had hair that works

just fix the hair poly. You know this could still be a tradeoff for the huge world but I feel they got everything else right why not hire someone who is super talented at faces and heads. Team Ninja is good at that stuff

a speed up 14 minutes at that lol I wonder how long the video would be if you did that run in real time

also some of the story paths that are just as long are skipped because they ended with major boss fights that changed the path in such a way that you could not take them for that run.

Xenoblade had sick scale, cannot wait for X

has a lot to do with being from a live stream than anything else
color would be one of my complaints though, would love more color in X but I don't think we are getting any unless you like purple hair
 
Is there a chance the equipment could be locked by level because of the possible multiplayer component?

If a lv. 5 character and a lv. 50 character play together and the later kills a lot of lv. 50 enemies, then the lv. 5 character would have lv. 50 armor equipped incredibly early and break the difficulty.
