XSEED Holding Event This Week - New Exclusive Announcements at the Event

Ukiyo no Roushi looks quite nice, and it's confusing that I didn't hear any word of it until now.

ATM I'm hoping we get a solid release date for SC, as well as confirmation that the odd Steam database item attached to XSEED is Xanadu Next and that we're getting it relatively soon. My dream list includes a whole bunch of Falcom, but some Artdink or even the Windows remake of First Queen would be great.

Yeah I was going to bring up Lord Monarch and Vantage Master and Legend of Xanadu 1 and 2 but that's too out there for this event.

An SC release date and a Xanadu Next announcement and this event will be a success.

Outside of release dates and Xanadu Next, I'm not even sure what would qualify to be announced anyway. Games that are 1) going to be available to XSEED (not something another publisher would have priority on) and 2) already out in Japan. But if they are doing a press thing they must have something going on.

Maybe it's just SC, and they are so fucking happy it's finally "done" they are throwing a press "event" (party) to celebrate.

It's just a press event and not a big thing. Somebody might tweet stuff, but more likely we'll just see a bundle of announcements show up this afternoon.

What's already disappointing is that there were no puzzles/clues this time.

Hm? Do people really want to play this Valkyrie Drive game? Is it any good? What exactly makes it worthy to be localized?

I like Takaki, he makes fun games and they have improved nicely since the first Senran Kagura. Basically that.

I'll take any Falcom game over it of course, but I would glad to see it coming.

Trails of Cold Steel was pre-ordered as soon as pre-orders went up & just put an order for Corpse Party: Blood Drive's Everafter Edition. Give me moar, XSEED.

Don't forget that XSEED always have good relations with Acquire. Metropolis Defenders, their latest game, had English trophies when released in Japan this summer. I think this one is pretty given.

I'm mainly looking for a Tokyo Xanadu localization announcement and a release date for Cold Steel and Estival Versus.

Apparently Cold Steel is out in 2 days in Europe.

Next week releases:
GAMES RELEASED ON FRIDAY 16 OCTOBER

Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance (PS4)
WRC 5 (360/PS3/XO/PS4/PC/PSV)
Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe And The Blight Below (PS4)
Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut (XO/PS4)
Tales Of Zestiria (PS3/PS4)
Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butōden (3DS)
The Legend Of Heroes: Trails Of Cold Steel (PS3/PSV)
Dungeon Travelers 2: The Royal Library And The Monster Seal (PSV)
Superbeat Xonic (PSV)
Back To The Future: The Game – 30th Anniversary Edition (360/XO/PS4)

Not sure though.

Or Half-Minute Hero 2! Or Corpse Party Histeric Birthday! Or Unchained Blades EXXiV!

But Half-Minute Hero 2 did get a release (and it was awesome, that game is amazing). No clue if the other 2 were since I don't follow those series... maybe this whole post was a giant whoosh.

When you say Half Minute Hero 2, are you referring to this title that's already on Steam, or something else?

Anyway given that it was called a media event, I'm going to assume that XSEED sent out a media package to major websites along with a major press release to any journalists. So we should start hearing news sometime this morning.

Definitely not. That's a really, really old placeholder date.
Placeholder for EU right now is end of January

That Superbeat Xonic date is wrong as well.
That guy needs better sources

Rather, that guy should only keep track of officially announced dates. Placeholders wary from site to site, so it's a waste of time to keep track of them imo.

Often the placeholders are set by the publishers themselves so it's not a complete waste of time. amazon is usually up to date, and the current placeholder for Cold Steel (Jan 29th) will also be the release date if nothing goes wrong.

It's different from end of quarter placeholders like Dec 30th or something.

You are all wrong. In a shocking twist of fate, somehow Grand Knights History is finally releasing on the PSP! Honest go God!

Just stomp on my pipedreams more. Go ahead

Given how online-focused Grand Knights History is, even if it released on the PSP today you wouldn't be able to enjoy it much.

I'm actually already playing it haha, but I'd still like to see it get the exposure it deserves.

It certainly won't get any exposure if it released as a DS game now! Best thing that can be done for these games that have been fan translated years after initial release is to just spread the word.

As mentioned due to the game being online centric and the only reason for the SP aspect was to raise troops for the online mode, yeah even if the game came out you wouldnt really be able to do much. Or more like half the game will be missing.

That's why you put it on the eShop bae :v

Oh, it's today? Here's hoping I won't go to bed without an SC release date. Please Xseed, I need it.

Can't someone check their newly-registered websites like the last time?

Only ones I can find from this year. This is all DomainTools tells me.

So looks like October 2 is the only new one.

Tokyo Xanadu with a slightly different title for the west?
Another Trails?

Wait, why did they register Ao/Zero no Kiseki?

From Tom

And yes, I wouldn't read too much into these domain registrations -- we just wanted to protect ourselves from squatters, as some of you have speculated.

Should prove to you guys, though, that we are absolutely leaving ourselves open to work on these games in the future. We're serious about WANTING to work on them, we're just not sure if, how or when we'll be able to do so.
