Looking ahead, I'm now becoming more and more curious as to where they're taking the series.
Like, what will be the end goal for Ichiban? Kiryu had protecting Haruka which lead to protecting the Tojo and ultimately protecting his kids too. That's always been his thing.
But will Ichiban go to the same lengths for the Tojo or is it his loyalty to his mentor that will be his defining motivation?
How will Ichiban fight? From what we've seen, the Dragon most likely will not apply to this guy so he'll have more freedom in how he can fight. Will he be a practitioner of a certain fighting style? Will he have an amateurish fighting style like Kiryu's brawler style? Will he use more underhanded tactics and cheap tricks and weaponry? (low blows, pulling out pepper sprays in the middle of combos, sliding underneath the opponent's legs while they're going for an attack, pulling out a dagger out of nowhere) He seems shorter and smaller than Kiryu so I don't expect him to have the same level of controlled striking that Kiryu had but hey, who knows.
The mere fact that
Really really interested to see where they take this because they have a lot of directions to explore. Personally I hope they explore the more shady side of the business that was rarely touched upon in the Yakuza games. The prostitution and pornography production/distribution and human trafficking side.
Damn, I'm excited for this pink suit wearing motherfucker.

Will his goal be finding out the truth of what happened or will it be getting the Tojo back to it's glory? Is the Tojo in such a state that merely surviving will be an accomplishment?

The mere fact that
the Omi has taken over Kamorucho ALONE is such a refreshing situation.
But I know they won't go that far because they gotta romanticize a lot of it
