Its an island south of Australia. Anyhow whats there to do down there? I'm visiting my grandparents one last time before they past away although they're in excellent health. I'll be leaving monday afternoon and staying for 2 weeks (joy). I've been traveling since I was 5 and this might be the first time, where I dont know what to expect. Help gaf? :lol

After creating this thread i looked up travel websites and realized it was tasmania.

:lol how this thread got derailed, which i really dont care as long as someone post something insightful for me to do.

Tasmania's nice if you're a little more "cultured" (old)...Launceston has the James Boag brewery and some awesome resteraunts. The penal colony historical sites at Port Arthur are facinating. And theres a ton of great wilderness stuff to do, kayaking, bushwalking etc. Really great if you like that stuff.

If you like party-capitals, raves and a large "youth" scene then you're fucked. If you like a bit of tranquility and natural beauty, you'll love it.

Thanks! I've been thinking of boating up there to sidney. But i would feel uncomfortable leaving my grandparents behind. I do like wilderness though. I wouldn't mind smoking some australian thunder fuck or going to some pubs w/ hookahs.
