I think the only time I had a pretty big laugh (that I mostly kept quiet because the only other person I could hear laughing was my buddy right next to me) was when Palpatine was going "Goooooooood! Goooooood!" but I love over-the-top Palpatine in this movie, so I'd never vote for that.

As for the, "NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!" line, it did sound funny but I feel it was neccessary.

I'm not disagreeing with you about it being terrible...but who says stuff in practically any fantasy movie? It's in another galaxy far, far away. Yes, I know the OT was full of Earth-like comments, but just saying your comment is not as valid as you think. Who says, "I do not recall the taste of strawberries...or the sound of water...I am naked in teh dark...there is only..the will of fire!" It's meant to convey a different world. But yes, it is terrible, enverthelss (seeing as it doesn't even convey that emotion).

Actually, he never says "Like you" - he only implies it unsubtley by touching her. a move which I feel would'v made the dialogue from ok, to terrible. After viewing that bit again, teh actual lins is only semi-vomit inducing, not THAT bad, but Hayden's presence and delivery is like some creepy stalker (as set up by other lines aswell as his acting and direction). SO when he reaches out to touch her and give a creepy line, it makes it over the top.

My vote is for any dialogue emerging from Jar-Jar Binks fucking CG lips. Can't believe he didn't get a nod. Of course, almost ALL of the dialogue from the prequels was awful.

On second viewing, I don't find the delivery of the "noooooo" line to be all that bad. What really takes it from "ok" to "jesus fucking christ, WHO WROTE THIS?!" is his body language.

His awkward arching of the back and splaying of the arms at the side just looks utterly rediculous. That combined with the fact his first few steps when he breaks free make him look like a frankenstein monster/zombie out for some killin', and it just ruins everything.

My vote now goes squarely to "any love dialogue given between Hayden and Natalie". From the "...sand..." line to the "No, it's because I'm SO in love with YOU!", nothing but pain was brought from that relationship...

What pisses me off most about the NOOOOOOOOOOO!!! is that Darth Vader should be fucking evil by that point. He thought Princess Amidala had betrayed him, that is why he force choked her in the first place. He had been twisted by the dark side, his first thoughts after being revived should have been about getting revenge on Obi-Wan for fucking him up, he shouldn't be all "boo hoo, I hope padme is ok"

What should have happened was he got up, asked how padme was, and when the emperor says she's dead, he just bows his head, and sighs. Then he lifts his head, says "so be it" and purposefully strides off while the emperor cackles with glee.
