Welp; I have no job, I have $40K in student loan debt and about $8K in credit card debt. Shit kinda sucks right now. That said, I'm proud of myself. Nothing has ever pissed me off more than when I went to a "summer welcome" before my freshman year of college, and the financial aid assistant said "it would be impossible for me to afford school; and that the school isn't for everyone." And that was it. :-/ It's a state university, that everyone and their brother can get into. As a white male, with 4.3GPA while working 40hrs/week since 9th grade; there was no reason I shouldn't be able to get a degree from an in-state school. **** that woman. It took a crap ton of work, and a lot of debt, but I did it. I love my degree. And while the economy blows right now; I have no doubt I'll be fine in a few years.
